THE DAYS OF NOAH

For just like the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. “

For in those days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark. And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.

(Matthew 24:37-38

The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.  So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.  So God said to Noah, ‘I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth.

WHAT HAPPENED, A BATTLE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL, THE WILL OF THE EVIL ONE VERSES THE WILL OF GOD.

And God looked upon the world and saw how degenerate, debased, and vicious it was, for all humanity had corrupted their way upon the Earth, and lost their true direction.”

Darkness can never overcome Light. God’s creation rebelled against Him on earth as they had in Heaven.

Think about the prayer that Jesus taught those people in His time before He finished His work and guaranteed His great and glorious promises after Lucifer and the foolish, evil, rebellious angels that Jesus threw out of Heaven.

Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

It is in the sixth chapter of Genesis that we learn what corrupted God’s creation. Daughters were born, and the fallen angels, giants known as the Nephilim, saw that they were attractive and took wives as many as they chose.

ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY YEARS

The influence of these rebellious servants of the evil one corrupted the children of earth. God, in His infinite mercy, gave the people one hundred and twenty years to repent and turn to Him. In all that time, only eight did—Noah, his wife, their three sons, and their wives.

Then the flooding rains came, and Noah closed the door of the ark. Those people who were left drowned.

Throughout the Bible, we see how God’s mercy endures. His children abandon Him, and yet he sends prophets, angels, even Himself in the person of Jesus, to rescue them and turn them away from their rebellious acts that insult Him before they condemn themselves.

After God liberated the Jews from their bondage to slavery in Egypt, they cursed Him ten times in the desert, yet He lived among them and guided them day and night for forty years through the desert all the way to the land He had promised them.

Today, the World is also filled with evil, corruption, and violence. God is openly mocked. Atheism, Agnosticism, Islam, and all other forms of false religions run rampant.

Christians are being attacked and murdered all over the World.

Yes, Christianity is thriving as well. Many good people seek and serve the Lord. Charlie Kirk started a huge revival among young people. Hundreds of thousands of young people are coming to know Jesus and serve Him.

One has to wonder what the patience of God will allow.

That is why our King taught us to be prepared. Jesus may come today or one thousand years from now, but we as His servants need to act as if He is coming now.

Let’s ask ourselves what we would want to accomplish for Him now if we knew He were coming today. I am horrified at the thought of those unrepentant souls scratching at the door of the ark.

At Throne of Grace, we are doing everything we can to deliver the message of God’s love to as many folks as possible. We use social media, podcasts, and personal pastoring as our primary tools. But each of us needs to commit to sharing our beliefs and His love with as many folks as we can, one-to-one. We are all ministers of Jesus’ promise. We can tell the cashier at our grocery store, our mail deliverer, or our neighbors and friends how much Jesus loves them personally, just the way they are.

Try telling the person who takes your order at the drive-through that Jesus loves them just the way they are. That is a great start. Then make it a habit to tell everyone you come into contact with the same. Let’s strive to get as many people in the boat with us as we can.

THAT IS ALL FOLKS, END OF TEACHING
