One of you asked me what happens when we die.
He was inquiring specifically about the transition to heaven and what it is like.
It is an FAQ. I don’t know why religion doesn’t feature the transition in its messages. They may, but I have never heard one. Occasionally, it is explained at funerals, but not often.
So let’s consider evacuating our Earth suits. We know, of course, that where we spend our eternal Life is determined entirely by whether we believe in and believe in Jesus.
That eternity is decided the very instant that we choose to believe and believe in Jesus, or reject Him. When one rejects Jesus, they instantly and permanently reject the only Hope of salvation, and their fate is sealed.
Here is how Jesus explained this phenomenon to a flesh-bound priest named Nicodemus:
“If I have told you of things that happen right here on the earth and yet none of you (The Jewish rulers of that time) believes Me, how can you believe if I tell you of heavenly things?”
And just as Moses lifted the serpent in the desert on a pole, so must the Son of Man be lifted. So that EVERYONE who believes in Him may not perish, but have eternal Life and live forever.
For God so greatly loves and dearly prizes the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, (Came to earth in the person of a human named Yeshua/Jesus to sacrifice Himself for us.) so that WHOEVER believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal Life.
THESE NEXT VERSES ARE URGENT!
For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.
NOTE
Jesus’s sacrificial death has made us safe and sound if we believe and believe in Him.
He who believes and believes in Him is not judged. For him, there is no judgment or condemnation. But he who does not believe and believe in Him is judged already because he has not believed and believed in the only begotten Son of God.”
(John 3:14-18)
God never judges or condemns people. By rejecting Him, however, people judge and condemn themselves. God never sends anyone to hell. They choose to go there by their rejection of Him in the person of Jesus.
There is no need to judge believers because He paid for and forgave every one of their sins, past, present, and future.
(Psalm 103:1-3 and 12, Jeremiah 3:17, John 1:29, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10-18, Revelation 1:5)
Not only are we not judged, but God Himself has also called us His glorious inheritance and declared us to be holy, unblameable, and beyond reproach.
(Colossians 1:22-Ephesians 1:16)
“TO BE ABSENT THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD!“
Paul, our anointed appointed teacher, declared that the instant we evacuate our earth suits, we are in the presence of the Lord. (2Corinthians 5:8)
GLORIOUS PROMISES TO US FROM THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS:
“I am the resurrection and the Life. WHOEVER believes and believes in Me, although he may die, yet shall he live; And whoever continues to live and believes and believes in Me shall never die at all. Do you believe Me?
(John 11:24-25)
“DO NOT LET YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED, NEITHER BE AFRAID. YOU BELIEVE IN GOD; BELIEVE IN ME ALSO.“
In my Father’s House, there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, I would have told you, because I am going away to prepare a place for you.
And when I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back and take you to Myself, so that where I am, you may be also.
And to the place where I am going, you know the way.
Thomas (Doubting Thomas) said to Him, ‘Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?‘
JESUS SAID TO HIM,’ I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT BY ME! If you had known me, you would have known My Father. FROM NOW ON, YOU KNOW HIM AND HAVE SEEN HIM!’
(John 14:1-7)
It is very important to understand that Jesus and God are the same, and that Jesus made these promises in the Authority of God. Meaning we can believe them without doubt.
So we know that the second we exhale our last breath, we will be with Jesus forever and ever in His glorious Heaven. A place where there are no negatives, no sickness, no murder, no wheelchairs, no glasses, no hearing aids, no contempt, competition, hatred, score-keeping, meanness, rejection, bigotry, theft, adultery, lust, greed, resentment, fear, anxiety, worry, doubt, unbelief, anger, bitterness, illness of any kind, including mental illness.
There is only Joy, Love, Charity, Hope, Peace, Mercy, Forgiveness, Happiness, Beauty beyond our human understanding, Laughter, dancing, the gladness that comes from being with those who went before us.
None of us looks forward to physical death, but once we clear that hurdle, it’s all bliss! The important thing to remember is that we will be with Jesus, our lover, King, and forever Lord, because to be absent the body is to be at home with Him!
I’m thinking of Franklin Roosevelt’s famous saying:
“The only thing we have to fear is fear itself!”
