“AND AWAY WE GO!”

If you remember those words and who said them, you are like me, as old as dirt. When I was meditating with Holy Spirit about what He wanted to write today, they were planted in my mind.

So this message is about God’s time. Our minds require measurements. So men invented a system to measure what we know as time. Based on the astronomical movement of the Earth. Originally, time was based on the movement of the Earth around the Sun. So men measured the time that it took for Earth to rotate, bringing the Sun back to the same spot in the sky.

If you want to have your mind boggled, Google time, and read all of the hoo-ha that scientists have attached to it.

Einstein did as much to muddle the mind as the rest of the physicists. Yet even his measurements are merely

theories. They are all based on the assumption that a second is a second.

The drum beaters of the “Science is god!” crowd love to cast doubt on the account in Genesis that Moses gives of God creating the Earth and everything that exists in six days. Having absolutely no understanding of God’s reality, much less His time. We have no way to know what a day is to Him.

“My ways are not your ways, and my thoughts are not

your thoughts; they are higher than your ways and thoughts!”

(Isaiah 55:8)

Here is what Holy Spirit taught the wisest man who ever lived about God’s time, the only time that matters:

“That which is has already been, and that which will be has already been, for God seeks what has passed.”

(Ecclesiastes 3:17)

Many noted theologians with minds blind to the unseen choke on this simple lesson. They create dopey analyses that report that it means that God is in control and never forgets the past, etc. Yadda, Yaddda, Yadda!

In fact, it means what it says. It is not complicated. The present is the past, the future is the past, and God seeks the past. The past, the future, and the present are all the same. There is no time in God’s world except this present moment. That is why Jesus taught us to give no thought to the future but to live in the present.

(Matthew 6:25)

If you doubt this, try to move into the past or the future.

You can, in our minds, and we often do, to the point of fixation, but no matter how hard we spin our wheels, we can’t make our bodies go there. We certainly can not experience either.

So, the reality of God’s time is the speed of thought. Check this out:

When evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, and they took a boat and went across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and still Jesus had not come back to them.

Meanwhile, the sea was getting rough and rising high because of a great and violent wind that was blowing. When they had rowed three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and approaching the boat, and they were terrified.

But Jesus said to them, ‘It is I; do not be afraid!‘ Then they were quite willing and glad for Him to come into the boat. AND THE BOAT WENT IMMEDIATELY TO THE LAND THEY HAD STEERED TOWARD.”

(John 6:13-21)

AND AWAY THEY WENT!

Ponder and meditate on what you just read!

The Sea of Galilee is eight miles wide. Jesus moved the boat loaded with twelve grown men and supplies four miles in the blink of an eye! God’s time is the speed of thought squared.

WHY IT MATTERS

We are headed for the other shore at the speed of thought! Do you ever think to yourself that just yesterday you were a teenager, and now you’re not, and wonder where the time went? It vanished at the speed of thought.

AND AWAY WE GO

In the blink of an eye, we will be with Jesus. He is carrying us to Himself like He took the disciples to the other shore. Immediately, we will be in the glory of the Lord.

Jesus is bringing us to the Heaven that He created for us, and what a wonderful day that will be. Our loved ones and animals will join us. We will be overwhelmed with joy and happiness that we cannot now perceive.

There will be no unbelief, no sickness, no sadness, no grief, no wheelchairs or artificial limbs, no oldness, no pain, everything will be new, we will behold beauty that we can’t imagine because our minds are finite, but then they will be filled with the things of God.

When we arrive, there will be shouts of acclamation as the song says, because we will be home. We will be adorned with crowns and receive the rewards that we have earned by our good deeds on Earth. There will be no judgment and condemnation, only eternal gratitude.

That is where we are going at the speed of thought. And, no, Mr. C, you will not get there first. (A little inside talk with our partner)

So what does all this mean right now? Our life here on this planet began winding down when we were born. As the old expression goes, when you get to the top of the hill, you start picking up speed. We need to do our best to teach the Gospel of Jesus and His love to as many as we can while we can. We need to make helping others find the way as we can right now.

Now is the time to get ready to meet the King of Kings in person and hear Him say these glorious words, which are my only goal in life: “WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!” That is precisely what you, our Golden Givers, are doing right now with your faithful support!
