TRY TO WRAP YOUR HEART AND MIND AROUND THE LOVE OF JESUS!

Jesus has an infinite, unconditional, unqualified, incomprehensible love for all people and things.

So much so that He died the worst possible death anyone could or ever would, to prove it. And He did it for us as individuals. Yes, He died just for you. And He did it for us regardless of our behavior or lack thereof.

Yes, He did it for us while we were in our deepest, darkest sins. He did it to pay the price we should pay for our sins. He did it to forgive all of our sins, past, present, and future. He did it so that we would have life in abundance and receive all of His blessings. He did it to save us for Himself for all of eternity to live with Him in His Glory and His Heaven. He did it because He loves you and me that much! And all that He requires of us to receive eternal salvation and all of His great and precious promises is to believe, and believe in Him.

(Romans 5:8, John 6:28-29)

NOTE

To coddle the work-mongering modern-day Pharisees, and performance-oriented legalists, NO JESUS DOES NOT LOVE OUR SINS! But try to suppress your judgmental and condemning heart long enough to perceive the truth that He loves us despite them. Jesus forgave all of them once, for all, on the cross, and has no record of wrongs.

(Psalm 101:1-3 and 12, Isaiah 53:4-5, John 1:29, 1Peter2:24, John 3:14-18, Romans 10:9-10, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10-18, Revelations 1:5)

Jesus calls you His Glorious Inheritance. Yes, you are what He wants more than anything. He has everything else. He wants you. He wants your heart. He wants you to love Him back. He adores you just the way you are, and there is nothing you can do to change that.

Here is how Holy Spirit explained this to Paul and how Paul explained it to us:

What then shall we say to these things? If GOD be for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also graciously give us ALL THINGS?

Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies; who is to condemn? Jesus is the One who died-more than that, Who was raised-who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Who shall separate us from the love of Jesus? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

As it is written,

For your sake, we are being killed all day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’

NOTE

That last verse is an excerpt from Psalm 44. It is a declaration from David that because of his faith in God, He is willing to die for Him.

No, IN ALL THINGS, WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through Him who loves us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the Love of God in Jesus our Lord.”

(Romans 8:31-39)

To help us understand the unconditional and infinite love of Jesus, Holy Spirit dictated this message to Paul to give to us:

“If I speak in the tongues of men and angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanking cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned (as a sacrifice), but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited, arrogant, and inflated with pride; it is not rude and does not act unbecomingly. Love does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy, or fretful, or resentful; it MAKES NO RECORD OF WRONGS.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.”

(1 Corinthians13: 1-7)

Isn’t it strange that our Creator, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, doesn’t judge us, but we do? Isn’t it weird that the Prince of Peace has declared us to be Holy, Blameless, and Beyond Punishment and has no record of our sins, yet we condemn ourselves?

Isn’t it odd that we sit in the judgment seat of ourselves and others when God does not? Only those who reject Jesus are judged, and they judge themselves by their refusal to accept the only means of salvation. Yet, ignoring Jesus’ commandment, we never hesitate to see the speck in the eyes of others while ignoring the log in our own eyes, when our Lord never looks at either.

The Point Is:

We need to try to see the world, ourselves, and others through the lens of the incomprehensible love of Jesus.

God told us that we are not capable of understanding His Ways and His thoughts because His Ways and His thoughts are above ours. His mind is infinite, but ours is finite. However, we can model our thoughts after what we know about Him, and what we know about God is that He always leads with unconditional love.

If God has forgiven us and loves us just as we are, who are we to do otherwise?

THAT IS ALL, FOLKS.

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “HERE I AM, LORD, SEND ME!

(Isaiah 6:1-8)
