THE GLORY OF HEAVEN-GET HAPPY!

THE GLORY OF HEAVEN

GET HAPPY!!!!

Decide to be happy!! That’s right! Choose to be happy.

Receive the Joy and Gladness of Jesus. It’s one of the many blood-bought gifts He gave us. Cheer up. Smile, laugh, sing, make others happy too. How you feel is entirely up to you.

CELEBRATE

Jesus loves you so much that you will never be able to understand the depth of His love for you as an individual with your finite mind, just the way you are. That alone is reason to be crazy happy! The creator and maintainer of all that is cherishes you personally. He has called you His Glorious Inheritance, just as you are, not when you are good enough. He paid the price to ransom you from the evil one and eternal separation from Him while you were in your deepest darkest sin, not when you were good enough!

( Ephesians 1:18, Romans 5:8)

Check out this conversation between Jesus and God:

But now I am coming to You, and I say these things while I am still in the world so that they may experience My joy made full and complete and perfect within them filling their hearts with My delight.

(John 17:13)

He had just said these very Words to His followers:

“I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.”

(John 15:11)

Jesus’s joy is infinite! He told God the Father that the reason that He was willing to die the worst death ever was so that the fullness of His joy would be perfect within our hearts!!

Jesus repeated it to His followers:

I have told you these things so that in Me you may have perfect peace and confidence. In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER (choose to be happy), take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted! For I have overcome the world.

(John 16:33)

Meaning: Do not let the problems and cares of this world steal the overflowing joy and gladness and happiness that Jesus died to buy you. Whatever your challenges and difficulties are, believe without a doubt that Jesus has already solved them and overcome them for you, and it will be so because He has!

Here is the greatest reason to go around whistling and smiling: All of your sins: past, present, and future are forgiven! Jesus paid for them once and for all! He can’t even remember them.

(Hebrews 10:10-18, John 1:29, Psalm 103:1-3 and 12, Isaiah 53:4, 1Peter2:24, Zephaniah 3:17)

In carrying and paying for our sins during His brutal execution, Jesus paid the price necessary for us to spend eternity in bliss with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit!  (Isaiah 53:5)

What do we have to do to earn our salvation? Only believe and believe in Jesus!

(John 6:28-29, John 3:16-18, Romans 10:9-10, John 11:25-26, Romans8:1)

I am blessed to have a dear friend who invites me to stay at his beach home every year. It is one of the happiest of all times. I anticipate that trip with overflowing joy until the week before; I can hardly stand it.

We have an eternal vacation to dream about! One that is so wonderful that it is beyond comprehension! Here is how the Holy Spirit described its wonderfulness:

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen, and ear has not heard, and has not entered into the heart of man, all that God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him.” (1Corinthians2:9)

THERE ARE REWARDS AN CROWNS FOR US IN HEAVEN

Do not gather and heap up and store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust and worm consume and destroy, and where thieves break through and steal. But gather and heap up and store for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust nor worm consumes and destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal; For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

(Matthew 6:19-21)

He who receives and welcomes and accepts a prophet because he is a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward, and he who receives and welcomes and accepts a righteous man because he is a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones in rank or influence even a cup of cold water because he is My disciple, surely I declare to you that he shall not lose his reward.

(Matthew 10:41-42)

For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and then He will repay each one by what he has done.”

(Matthew 16:27)

Therefore, I strongly urge the elders among you pastors, spiritual leaders of the church, as a fellow elder and as an eyewitness called to testify of the sufferings of Jesus, as well as one who shares in the glory that is to be revealed: shepherd and guide and protect the flock of God among you, exercising oversight not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and not motivated for shameful gain, but with wholehearted enthusiasm; not lording it over those assigned to your care do not be arrogant or overbearing, but be examples of Christian living to the flock, And when the Chief Shepherd (Jesus) appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. (1Peter5:4)

I have fought the good and worthy and noble fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith firmly guarding the Gospel against error. Therefore, in the future, there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that great day—and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved and longed for and welcomed His appearing.

(2Timothy4:7-8)

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.

(Rev 22:12)

WE ARE GOING TO HEAVEN

This is how John interpreted what He saw when The Holy Spirit showed him heaven:

“And he carried me away in the Spirit to a vast and lofty mountain and showed me the holy city of Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God, having God’s glory filled with His radiant light. Its brilliance resembled a rare and very precious jewel, like jasper, shining and clear as crystal.

It had a massive and high wall, with twelve large gates, and at the gates were stationed twelve angels; and on the gates, the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were written.

On the east side, there were three gates; on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundation stones and on them the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb (Christ).

The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out as a square, its length being the same as its width, and he measured the city with his rod—twelve thousand stadia (about 1,400 miles); its length and width and height are equal. He measured its wall also—a hundred forty-four cubits (about 200 feet), according to man’s angelic measurements.

The wall was built of jasper, and the city was pure gold, transparent like clear crystal. The foundation stones of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of precious stone.

The first foundation stone was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, chalcedony; the fourth, emerald; the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite (yellow topaz); the eighth, beryl; the ninth, topaz; the tenth, chrysoprase; the eleventh, jacinth; the twelfth, amethyst. And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; each separate gate was of one single pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent crystal.

I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all and the Lamb are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun nor of the moon to give light to it, for the glory splendor, the radiance of God has illumined it, and the Lamb is its lamp and light.

The nations, the redeemed people from the earth, will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring into it their glory by day for there will be no night there its gates will never be closed; and they will bring the glorious splendor, majesty and the honor of the nations into it; and nothing that defiles or profanes or is unwashed will ever enter it, nor anyone who practices abominations detestable, morally repugnant things and lying, but only those will be admitted whose names have been written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. (Those who believe and believe in Jesus)

Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Jesus), in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month, and the tree’s leaves were for the healing of the nations.

There will no longer exist anything that is cursed because sin and illness and death are gone. The throne of God and the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants (those who believe and believe in Jesus) will serve and worship Him with great awe and joy and loving devotion; they will be privileged to see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads. And there will no longer be night; they do not need lamplight or sunlight, because the Lord God will illumine them; and they will reign as king] forever and ever.”

(Revelation 21)

HOW BEAUTIFUL

What can we infer from the nature of Jesus and the scriptures about heaven? What is heaven made of? The presence of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, Love, Grace, Mercy, Kindness, Forgiveness, Perfect Joy, Perfect Peace, Health, Beauty beyond the capacity of our earth brains to comprehend, all of the believers who have gone before us and our pets.

What we know is not in heaven: death, meanness, negativity of any kind, doubt, fear, unbelief, competition, bills, illness, blindness, deafness, insomnia, resentment, bitterness, any sort of evil, lying, cheating, stealing, scorekeeping, punishment, bullying, snobbery, shame of the Gospel or the name Jesus.

THIS LIFE IS A WISP OF SMOKE

I have often wondered why people, especially “believers,” place so much value in this very temporary life. We have earth suits that need food. It is, of course, important that we perform the work that God gave us to do while we are here, yet not get lost in the cares of this world.

Since God in the person of Jesus paid the ultimate price for us to spend eternity with Him in heaven, isn’t it our reasonable service to attempt to the best of our ability to make this world as much like heaven as we possibly can?

When we think about all that God has done for us, shouldn’t we reward Him with our love and service? Shouldn’t we not grudgingly or out of compulsion but cheerfully and out of our love and gratitude try to take off our old un-regenerated selves and put on our new righteous and justified lives as He has asked us.

Shouldn’t we try our best to live in love, joy, gladness, peace, patience, an even temper, forbearance, kindness, goodness, benevolence), faithfulness, gentleness, meekness, humility, self-control, self-restraint, continence. Yet, against such things, no law can bring a charge? (Galatians 5:22-23)

Shouldn’t we be the people that Jesus said were blessed: Humble, Merciful, Low in Ego, Seekers of righteousness, Peacemakers, and Pure in heart? (Matthew 5:3-12)

Shouldn’t we try to re-joy ourselves in all things and be anxious for nothing? Shouldn’t we think about whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is lovely and loveable, whatever is kind and winsome (attractive in appearance or character), and gracious, if there is anything worthy of praise. (Philippians 4)

Jesus paid a horrible price for us to receive our reward. Let us be deeply grateful. Let’s be focused on where we are going and why.
