Ok, you “not until after Thanksgiving”, folks light it up!
Thanksgiving has passed, and it’s time to rock around the Christmas tree.
“Oh. Hear the angels singing.”
Hear the army of angels singing to the Shepherds, praising God in Heaven and on earth!
Hear God’s messenger Gabriel report that God has declared a state of Peace with all people. Hear him report that God has put on an earth suit to deliver the “GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY WHICH SHALL BE TO ALL PEOPLE!”
UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS HAPPENED!
Because God came to earth to live a perfect and sinless life and then sacrificed His earth suit to pay for and forgive every sin you have ever committed, past, present, and future, so that you will live in His glorious heaven forever and ever after you evacuate this very blink of an eye temporary world, if only you believe and believe in Him.
“Long lay the world in sin and error pining,
(Regretting, suffering from, and paying the wages of sin, captive to the evil one, and bound to their behavior with no way out except for the Jews who could make certain atoning sacrifices, they were trapped by their performance against an impossible-to-attain standard)
Till He appeared and the soul felt its worth,
(God has called us His glorious inheritance. To gain us, He paid the price of dying the worst death any human ever has or ever will to buy us. While we were yet sinners, Jesus died to prove His love for us.)
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices for yonder breaks a new and glorious day!”
FEEL THE JOY!!
“Joy to the world, the Lord is come. Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room, And heaven and nature sing, and heaven and nature sing, and heaven and heaven and nature sing!
He rules the world with Truth and Grace, and makes the nations prove, And glories of His righteousness, And wonders of His love, And wonders and wonders of His love!
Jesus brought a new and glorious covenant to all who will believe and believe in Him, not one based on our behavior, but on His. He rules the world of those who believe and believe in Him with Grace (God’s willingness, ability, and power, which have done for us those things that we can not or will not do for ourselves) and TRUTH.
Not with guilt, shame, judgment, or condemnation.
The wonders of His love are that His love is unconditional, infinite, and eternal. They are beyond the limited capacity of our finite minds to comprehend. They forgive the unforgivable, they love the unlovable, and they love those who hate them.
“REJOICE, REJOICE, REJOICE EMMANUEL
Emmanuel means God with us. God has come and walks with us individually until the end of the age! Of His reign, there shall be no end! So re-joy yourselves. Jesus came so that His joy and gladness would be in us and our joy and gladness would be complete and overflowing. Choose to receive and walk in His love, joy, gladness, Peace, and happiness. Celebrate the receipt of His great and precious promises!
Some of you have had pain and suffering in your lives, the temporary death of a child or loved one, divorce, job loss, financial insecurity, and or other horrible events. Know this: Jesus is full of compassion, love, mercy, and grace, and if He were in control, as some falsely believe, none of these things would have happened. This is what He said about that:
“I have told you these things so that in Me, you will have perfect Peace and confidence. In the world, you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER! Because I have overcome the world.“
(John 16:33)
Paul taught us that no matter how large they appear, our problems are temporary, so we cast our eyes not on the things that we see, such as the cares of this world, but on the things that we do not see. Because the things that we see are temporary and subject to change, but the things that are not seen are eternal and are of God.
No one, especially God the Father, God Jesus, and God Holy Spirit, would ever minimize your agony and grief, but we all have the option to focus on what we choose.
SO CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY! CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, WRAP UP IN JESUS, HAVE A CUP OF HOT CHOCOLATE, LISTEN TO OUR CHRISTMAS SERIES PODCASTS, LISTEN TO THE ORIGINAL CHRISTMAS CAROLS, DECORATE YOUR HOUSE SO THAT IT LOOKS LIKE YOUR JOY THREW UP!
