So, let’s believe, receive. and share the Joy that Jesus died to bring us. Let’s go around beaming our Joy and love to everybody. Let’s give as Jesus gave to us. Let’s party like crazy in praise of our King. Light the lights, dance, sing, laugh, and love as He does us.
HERE IS WHY…
You Lord have multiplied the nation and increased their Joy; they rejoice before You like the Joy in harvesting a great crop, as men rejoice when they receive their share of the loot collected after a battle.
This sentence has a huge meaning to us. God has defeated the evil one for us and returned everything that he has stolen from us, infinitely.
“The yoke of your children’s burden, (The power of the evil one, guilt, the impossible standard of trying to please God by our behavior, separation from God, a relationship with God based on our behavior, not His, and life without the guidance of the indwelling Holy Spirit.)
FOR every warrior’s boots and all his armor in the battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood shall be burned as fuel for the fire.
(The evil one and all of his minions and followers and those who reject Jesus)
For to us a child is born, to us a Savior is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called WONDERFUL COUNSELOR, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER OF ETERNITY, PRINCE OF PEACE.
Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the Throne of David and over His Kingdom, to establish it and uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the latter time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
(Isaiah 9:6=)
Let’s unpack this astounding prophecy that God gave to Isaiah to give to us. It applies to all people. It is received by those who choose to believe and believe in Jesus.
The throne of David part is a fulfillment of the prophecy that David would have an eternal kingdom. It establishes for the Jews and us Gentiles that, as promised, the Messiah would come from the bloodline of David. Mary was a direct descendant of David, as was Joseph. Joseph, however, had no genealogical involvement in the ancestry of Jesus. Joseph was not the father of Jesus; God was and is.
The Government part does not apply to earthly kingdoms. It is about the eternal rule of Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It proclaims the rule of Jesus as one of everlasting peace, righteousness, and justice.
It means that WHOSOEVER believes and believes in Jesus will live with Him forever in His Glory, His love, His Grace, His peace, Joy, gladness, mercy, health, compassion, kindness, generosity, and His overflowing abundance, in this life, and in the life to come.
By believing and believing in Jesus, we make Him our ruler, and we enter into His government of which there shall be no end.
Hear the pronouncement of the angel Gabriel, God’s personal messenger, to Mary:
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found grace (God’s willingness, ability, and power, which has done for us those things that we can not, or will not, do for ourselves) with God.
And listen, pay attention! You will become pregnant and will give birth to a Son, and you shall call His name Yeshua. Jesus in English. His Aramaic name was Yehoshua, a derivative of the name Joshua (meaning ‘God’s salvation’)
He will be great (eminent) and will be called THE SON OF THE MOST HIGH; and the Lord God will give to Him the throne of His forefather David.
Meaning: The Spiritual Throne. The eternal reign over God’s people, all of us.
And He will reign over the House of Jacob throughout the ages; and of His reign there shall be no end.”
(Luke 1:30-33)
Don’t be confused by the House of Jacob reference. Here, it means the Children of God, God’s chosen people, which means whoever believes and believes in Jesus.
So, we who believe live in the Kingdom of God. Our eternal King is not an earthly ruler. Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords is the Prince of Peace, the Lord of Love, the King of Grace, the God of Mercy, the giver of eternal Joy and Gladness, the one who gives us His unconditional, infinite, incomprehensible love, just the way we are. Our King, whose rulership is eternal, does not have a scorecard. He has forgiven all of our sins, past, present, and future. He has found us to be not guilty, beyond correction, and holy in His eyes.
(Zephaniah 3:17, Isaiah 53:4-5, Psalm 103: 1-3, and 12, John 1:29, Matthew 1:21, 1Peter 2:24, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10-18, Revelation 1:5, and Colossians 1:22)
The God of Gods, the one true God, has proclaimed that for us there is now no judgment or condemnation, only eternal, unimaginable glory in His world forever and ever.
