The Blessings That Come to Cheerful Givers

THE BLESSINGS THAT COME TO CHEERFUL GIVERS.

This week’s message is by far the most popular teaching we have ever delivered for the Holy Spirit.

A quick note about the giving of thanks:

The Holy Spirit directed this teaching today. It is by far the most popular subject and teaching that we have ever typed for Him.

ENJOY THE JOY!

The joy of giving is known to those who give cheerfully. Just ask a cheerful giver. You can see a cheerful giver a mile away. They usually wear a big grin. Cheerful givers have joy in their hearts. They have joy in their hearts because the thing that brings them joy is giving, and because they give, they have joy. Cheerful givers are not occasional givers. Cheerful givers always give. They give their time, their talent, and their treasure. Often they give money.
Jesus taught us that it is far more blessed to give than to receive, and cheerful givers know that. Indeed, there is no pleasure, including alcohol, drugs, sex, shopping, fitness, gossip, the internet, television, sports, movies, or whatever, that can even compare to the joy of giving or helping others.
Cheerful givers do not give grudgingly or out of necessity. If they did, they would not be cheerful givers; they would be pressured or coerced givers. Pressured or coerced givers are rarely joyous. Pressured or coerced givers are usually frustrated because, more often than not, they have been guilted into giving. Pressured givers are generally victims of the extortion of others.

God does not accept offerings made grudgingly or out of necessity. If you are giving because you think you have to give to earn God’s favor, STOP! You might as well burn your money or whatever you give under those conditions.
Many Christians have been pressured and coerced into giving by the exertion of a law that does not apply to them, and never has. The law that is misapplied is Malachi 3:10, which is a very directed message from God to the prophet Malachi. Malachi asked God how the children of Israel could restore themselves to right standing with God.

Manipulators quote this verse to bring their flocks under submission to guilt. “How would a man rob God? In tithes and offerings!”. That comment only applied to Levitical Priests and only those of that day!” They were stealing from God!

God reminded Malachi, that the Levitical Priests, who were sworn to bring in the full tithe and offering, were not fulfilling their responsibility; the result is that they were robbing God.

Here is what they did that made God so angry: There were twelve tribes of Israel, the tribe which became the Levites appointed priests. Those “Levitical” priests were commanded by God to collect the various tithes required by their man-made laws from the people.

The people were to bring a tenth of their first fruits to God. They were to be stored up in barns and distributed as needed to the people. The best cattle and sheep and food were to be given.

It was part of their collectivist lifestyle. The Levitical Priests were taking the first fruits and replacing them with the least. They were, in fact, robbing God.

God promised Malachi that if the Priests stopped robbing Him, He, in turn, would bless them. That message is not directed to Christians. TITHING NEVER APPLIED TO CHRISTIANS!!!!   Why? Because we are not and never have been under the Hebrew Law!!! (Ephesians 2:8-12)

We live under Grace Through Faith! Our program with God was ushered in and guaranteed by the blood of Jesus.

Jesus fulfilled the Old Covenant Laws, known as the six hundred and three man-made regulations and the ten commandments. They are no longer in effect.

These are fighting words to many Christian Ministers who have taught it. The implication of teaching this Hebrew Law to Christians is that it violates the Gospel of Jesus.
Learn John, chapter six, especially verses twenty-eight and twenty-nine. Many Christians have been wrongly accused of robbing God because they do not give 10% or greater of their gross income to the church. The Biblical reference is to the 3rd chapter of Malachi.

It is impossible to be a Christian and a Jew. Either you accept the completed work of Jesus on the cross and in His resurrection, or you do not. If you accept Jesus, then you accept His work.

If you reject Jesus, you are still not responsible for the Hebrew Law unless you were born Jewish. If you reject the work of Jesus and you are not Hebrew, you are a gentile, and Malachi three still does not apply to you.

How then, is a Christian to view giving?
GIVING IS DEFINITELY A GODLY ACT! WE ARE CREATED IN GOD’S IMAGE! WE ARE TO BE A REFLECTION OF JESUS. JESUS GAVE EVERYTHING HE HAD FOR, AND TO US!

“FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE……….HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON…THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES ON HIM SHALL NEVER PERISH, BUT SHALL HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.” (John 3:16)

“FEAR NOT…LITTLE FLOCK…. FOR IT IS YOUR FATHERS…. PLEASURE…. TO GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM!” (Luke 12:32)

God is a cheerful giver. He gives out of love. He gives to everybody. He does not give grudgingly or out of necessity. He gets pleasure from giving. He gives without limits. The kingdom is infinite, as is God’s giving.

The New Covenant, an unbreakable agreement between God in the person of God The Father and God Jesus and God the Holy Spirit, is our new relationship with God based on our acceptance of Jesus, gives us absolute free will.

If God had wanted us to be robots, we would be. When we behave well, as a result of the fact that we love God, we are operating at the highest level.

Our behavior should be based on a decision that we make, not on the threat of punishment if we don’t. The love of God constrains man. God wants us to do well because we choose to. That is what Grace is all about.

God, in the person of Jesus, guaranteed promises with His blood to cheerful givers. Read now the written words of Paul, our teacher, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, found in 2Corinthians9:6-14)“But this I say, He which sows sparingly, shall reap sparingly; AND HE WHICH SOWS BOUNTIFULLY SHALL REAP ALSO BOUNTIFULLY!”

“Every man according as he purposes in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity; for GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER.”

“AND GOD IS ABLE TO MAKE ALL GRACE ABOUND TOWARD YOU; that you having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.”

Remember this definition of Grace:

Grace is God’s willingness, ability, and power that has done those things for us, which we can not or will not do for ourselves. Picture your salvation. Calling grace “unmerited favor”; is like calling a Lamborghini a cup holder.
We enter into the state of grace through faith, which is living in this present moment celebrating the receipt of the great and precious blood-bought promises of Jesus, regardless of what we see, hear, touch, smell, or taste.

It would be very easy to write a long book full of events that I have personally seen in the lives of cheerful givers, in which ALL GRACE abounded to them in situations that only
Grace could have helped.

(“As it is written He hath dispersed abroad; He hath given to the poor; His righteousness remains forever. Now He that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness.”)
Cheerful givers love to give more than anything else. They don’t give expecting returns. They get their giving multiplied infinitely by God in every way. They see their financial giving multiplied back to them exponentially by God. They see the fruits of their giving of time, resources, love, talent, and energy returned to them infinitely.

“BEING ENRICHED IN EVERYTHING TO ALL BOUNTIFULNESS”, which causes through us thanksgiving to God.” (2Corinthians 9: 6-11)

This means that cheerful givers are always given more than enough finances to give to whatever causes the Holy Spirit guides them to give to.
Cheerful givers cause others to give thanks and glory to God! All of us who serve the Lord, desire one thing: To bring Him glory and honor and praise, and thanks.

These scriptures are known to me as the LAW OF ALL GRACE. God cannot alter the thing that came out of His mouth. He looks over His Word to perform it every jot and tittle. His Word will not return to Him void, but it will accomplish that thing for which He purposed it.

I have never seen a cheerful giver who did not walk in ALL GRACE. I have never seen a cheerful giver who lived in lack or want.

The happiest and most prosperous people I know are cheerful and consistent givers. They give continually because they cannot, not; give.

Why Christians Should Give:

Paul, our teacher, wrote the following explanation of salvation and how it comes to pass, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is direct and beautifully constructed, as only God could have built it:

“If you acknowledge and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord recognizing His power, authority, and majesty as God and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

“For with the heart, a person believes in Jesus; resulting in his justification [that is, being made righteous—being freed of the guilt of sin and made acceptable to God]; and with the mouth he acknowledges and confesses his faith openly, resulting in and confirming [his] salvation.”

“For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer]. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
“But how will people call on Him in whom they have not believed?”
“And how will they believe in Him of whom they have not heard?”

“And how will they hear without a preacher? And how will they preach unless they are commissioned and sent [for that purpose]? Just as it is written and forever remains written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news of good things!”(Romans 10:9-14)

If God has moved on your heart and led you to commission and send us, and to help us continue these teachings, Thank you, Holy Spirit, and Thank You, reader.
