IS GOD IN CONTROL? NO!!!!!!!!!!

“God Is In Control” is the ultimate insult to God!

This non-biblical cliche has been woven into the lexicon of “believers” by the father of all lies, who is always about impugning God.

It implies that God is accepting of murder and all other evil. It implies that God is negligent and even complicit in the death of innocents. Finally, it means that God turns a blind eye to all forms of suffering and pain.

The fact is that if God were in control, earth would be heaven. If God were in control, Adam and Eve would have never listened to the stench in God’s nostrils and would not have partaken of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and we would all be without sin, and we would never have needed the sacrifice of Jesus.

God has given man free will. We have been given the right and ability to do good or evil, to follow God or the evil one. We have been given control. God is only in control of the things of which we give Him Control.

God made this clear to the children of Israel, and Jesus made it clear to all people.

Listen closely; I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity (evil); in that, I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, so that you will live and multiply, and that the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to possess. But if your heart turns away and you will not hear and obey but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not live long in the land you cross the Jordan to enter and possess.

Therefore, I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse; therefore, choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the Lord your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding closely to Him; for He is your life [your good life, your abundant life, your fulfillment] and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the Lord promised to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

(Deuteronomy 30:15-19)

God called heaven and earth to witness that He willingly and knowingly gave mankind free will to choose to live under His rulership or reject Him and be led by the evil one or our flesh.

Jesus also clearly gave us the free will to either accept or reject Him and His Words and Holy Spirit or to reject them. If God were in control, we would follow Him blindly. Read the free will pronouncement from our King:

For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world (You, fill in your name here) that He gave up His only begotten Son (Jesus, God in the flesh, Himself) so that whoever believes and believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal, everlasting life in heaven with Him.

For God did not send the Son into the world to judge to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.

He who believes in Him is not judged or condemned, but he who does not believe and believe in Him is judged already, because he has not believed and believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

(John 3:16-18)

So, God loved us so much that He gave us the free will to accept Him or reject Him, the free will to do good or to do evil because He wants us to be led by our love for Him as His love for us leads him not the fear of punishment for our behavior or lack thereof.

Holy Spirit taught our anointed and appointed teacher Paul these Words for us:

Let each one give as he has made up his mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly, or sorrowfully or under compulsion for God loves, He takes pleasure in, prizes above all other things, and in unwilling to abandon or to do without a cheerful joyous and prompt to do it, giver whose heart is in his giving).”

(2Corinthians9:6 Amplified Bible)

That, to me, is the desire of God for our relationship with Him. He wants us to come to Him, not under compulsion or reluctantly or sorrowfully or grudgingly or fear, but cheerfully and with joy out of our joy and love for His love and mercy and grace.

With our free will, we can decide to follow our evil desires led by the stench in God’s nostrils or be led by the Holy Spirit. If God were in control, we would only do what He wants. Note the contrast:

Now, the practices of the sinful nature are clearly evident: they are sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, total irresponsibility, lack of self-control, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions that promote heresies/false gospels, envy, drunkenness and the like.

(Galatians 5:19-20)“But the fruit of the Spirit, the result of His presence within us, is love, unselfish concern for others, joy, inner peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things, there is no law. And those who belong to Jesus have crucified the sinful nature and its passions and appetites.”

(Galatians 5:22-24)

What we do and believe is entirely our God-given free will choice.

God is in control of what we give Him control over.

Is God sovereign? YES! Is God all-powerful and omniscient? YES! There is only one God. God the Father, God Jesus, and God Holy Spirit.

CHOOSE LIFE!

Decide to give God control of your life! Believe and Believe in Jesus and live with Him for all of eternity.

Jesus wants you to know that He cherishes you (fill in your name) without regard for your behavior, so much that He suffered the worst death any human ever could to buy you for Himself so that you would live with Him forever.

I believe that we could change the direction of the behavior of the people of the world from evil to good by simply teaching them that fact. Do you?
