How to Be Happy!

HOW TO BE HAPPY!

Do you remember the song, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy!”?

That is the message of the Holy Spirit to us. Here is how Jesus, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, put it:

“I have told you these things so that My Joy and delight may be in you, and that your Joy may be made full and complete and overflowing.”

(John 15:11)

Think about that! Jesus paid the price for His Joy to be in us! It is evident through His teachings that it is the will of God in all of His persons that we are happy. And why shouldn’t we be happy?

After you read and meditate on what Jesus bought us and guaranteed us with His blood, when you take His promises deep into your heart and make a decision to believe them without a doubt, You will understand and ask the same question.

“Until now you have not asked for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking, and you will receive, so that your Joy may be full and complete.’

(John 16:24)

Jesus was speaking to those who had not yet been given everything that they would ever want or need because He had not paid the price yet, when He directed them to ask.

Now that we have received Jesus’ great and precious promises bought by the blood of Jesus, by believing in Him and believing Him, we do not need to ask. We only need to celebrate our receipt of those promises regardless of what we see, touch, taste, smell, or hear. So great is His love for each of us that he gave us everything in hopes that our Joy would be full and complete.

Jesus paid a horrible price for us to be happy. Our Joy makes Jesus happy. Our Joy reflects the level of belief we have in Him, and our willingness and choice to use the free gift of His faith which, we received on believing in Him and believing Him. (2Peter1:1)

When Jesus’ disciples refused to believe Him and even called Him a murderer by negligence, He wept. So we know that our King of Kings rejoices in our belief and resulting happiness as they testify to Him of how much we trust and believe in and believe Him.

(John 11)

The Holy Spirit emphasized the power of happiness when He taught Solomon the wisest man who ever lived, that a happy heart does good like a medicine, which means that happy people don’t need medication. Their happy heart heals them. I know you know people who fit that description, and you could be the same way.

Happiness is a choice. Happiness is a decision. Happiness is a gift from God the Father, God Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit. The ignition switch or key to Happiness is one thing,

BELIEF!

Have you ever know a person who seemed to be happy all the time? Have you ever been envious of happy people?

Have you ever wanted to be happy because you grew weary of being sad, mad, or afraid?

The Holy Spirit has given us the recipe for being joyful and happy all of the time. BELIEF!

A high priest had a young daughter who was on death’s doorstep. He risked everything he had by choosing to believe in Jesus and to seek Him.

He went to Jesus and even when people came from his home and told him not to bother Jesus because his daughter was dead, he pressed through a vast crowd and asked Jesus to come to his house and heal his daughter.

The priest had come to believe that Jesus could and would heal his daughter in spite of the social, cultural, and financial consequences of making that choice.

The priest made a decision that is fundamental to a life of success and happiness. He made a choice not to consider what other people thought of him. That included his employers who surely would have fired him instantly, his family members and his friends.

Jesus left what He was doing and immediately followed the priest to His house. He took John and James and Peter with him. When they told Jesus that the girl was dead, Jesus left them outside because of their unbelief.

The mother, the priest, the daughter, and Jesus were the only ones in her room. Jesus looked at Jairus, the priest and said these words to him: “ONLY BELIEVE.”

Meaning; that the only requirement for the girl receiving life was BELIEF. Then Jesus commanded the girl to get up, and she did. Jesus’ belief returned the little girl to life.

The essence of this one of many resurrections that Jesus performed is evidence of how powerful belief is. Belief like happiness is a choice that we make. It is a decision that we make on a moment by moment basis.

If you want to be happy, choose to believe Jesus without a doubt. That is much easier written and said than done. It is possible. Believing Jesus, without a doubt, requires a fight. It requires that we fight our flesh minds and live and move in the Spirit. Believing Jesus requires us to believe what we do not see more than what we do see.

Believing Jesus is a decision. It is a decision to disregard circumstances, paradigms, works theology, the fear of what others may think, a choice to believe that nothing is impossible for God and a willingness to let go of old entrenched concepts that do not agree with the Gospel.

Try to always remember the words of God’s chief angel Gabriel, about Jesus and His Words:

PAY STRICT ATTENTION! DO NOT BE AFRAID! I BRING YOU GOOD NEWS OF A GREAT JOY WHICH WILL COME TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE!”

(Luke 2:10)

If you are hearing messages that are not of “Great Joy” run from them! do not let them into your heart because they are not the Gospel of Jesus

Read Jesus’ Words; This is one of Jesus’ commandments:

Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, as to what you will wear. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow [seed] nor reap the harvest nor gather the crops into barns, and yet your heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?

And who of you by worrying can add one hour to the length of his life? And why are you worried about clothes? See how the lilies and wildflowers of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin wool to make clothing,  yet I say to you that not even Solomon in all his glory and splendor dressed Himself like one of these.

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive and green today and tomorrow is cut and thrown as fuel into the furnace, had He not given you even more excellent clothing? You of little faith! (It is important to understand that Jesus was speaking to the unsaved who had not yet received the free gift of His faith.)

Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’

For the pagan(Those who do not believe in or believe Jesus) Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; but do not worry, for your heavenly Father knows that you need them.

But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His Kingdom and His righteousness (Jesus, The Holy Spirit the Word and God), and all these things will be given to you also.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

(Matthew 6:25-34)

Choose not to worry or be anxious about anything and to live in this present moment. (Matthew 6:25-34)

Choose to believe that Jesus healed us of all diseases and accidents on the cross. (Matthew 8:17-18, Isaiah 53:3, Psalm 103:3 and 12)

Choose to believe that all of your sins; past, present, and future are forgiven and paid for entirely by Jesus’ being tortured and crucified to pay the price for them.

( Hebrews 10:10-14,1Peter2:24, Isaiah 53:4, Psalm103:3 )

Choose to believe that not only are your sins are forgiven and that God the Father, God Jesus, and God the Holy Spirit have also decided to forget all of them, past, present, and future.

Choose to believe that God in all three persons is delighted with you and dances over you in heaven. Believe that God has put your sins as far away as the east is from the west.

(Hebrews 8:12-14, Psalm 103:3 and 12, Zephaniah 3:17}

Choose to believe that Jesus has given you the same power that He had on earth and the same power that raised Him from the dead. That power is belief, and with it, you may do the exact same things that Jesus did and greater things than those.

(John 14:12)

Choose to believe that Jesus has purchased and given you everything that you will ever want or need. That is right whatever and anything that you want.

(John 14:12-14, 2Peter1:1-4)

Choose to believe that Jesus has given you the power to become wealthy. I know some will immediately respond that I am a prosperity preacher and they are precisely correct. Jesus was the first prosperity preacher.

(Luke 6:38, John 10:10, 2Corinthians:6-13 Deuteronomy 8:18)

Choose to believe that Jesus has given you the power to speak things into existence.

(Mark 11:22, John 14:12)

Choose to believe that Jesus has overcome every problem that you will ever encounter and given you the victory. Choose to be of good cheer as He instructed us!

(John 16:33)

Choose to believe that Jesus has given you the power to ask Him to send legions of angels to assist you in every situation.

(Matthew 26:53, John14:12)

Choose to believe that the evil one has no power at all except to lie and trick you into believing him, and he is excellent at that. Defend yourself against the evil one by using the Gospel to verify what you are taught. If it is not in the Gospel, then it is not the truth. Believe that you have been given dominion over the evil one and all of his powers and servants and that NOTHING shall ever harm you.

(Luke 10:18)

MOST IMPORTANT

Choose to believe that regardless of your behavior, God in all three persons, cherishes you infinitely and forever. Believe that you are God’s glorious inheritance.

(Romans 8:38-39, John 3:16, Ephesians 1:18)

If you want to be happy all of the time, choose to live in this present moment, celebrating the receipt of all of Jesus’ blood-bought promises, regardless of what you see, hear, touch, taste, or smell. That is the definition of faith, and the just (Those of us who have been found not guilty by receiving and believing in Jesus) shall live by faith. (Hebrews 11:1, Hebrews 10:38, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11)

If you want to be happy all the time, believe that you have entered a life of living in God’s willingness, ability, and power, which has done for us all those things that we can not or will not do for ourselves. That is the definition of Grace. Calling Grace unmerited favor is like calling a Ferrari a cup holder.

(Romans 4:24-5:3, Ephesians 2:8-12)

If you want to be happy print this teaching out and keep it near you at all times, memorize the scriptures listed. Meditate on them night and day. Choose to believe them.
