CAMELS? REALLY?
It was just fantastic! The entire day except for a meeting with one of our partners was spent riding in my car with my pal Jesus.
As we rode along, I said, Jesus, I am loving spending time with you today. What would you like to discuss?
“Camels.”
“What, Lord? Did you say Camels?”
“Yes, I did. I want you to meditate on Camels. I want to teach you about Camels so you can teach my people about Camels.”
“And a rich young ruler came to Him and said, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do to obtain eternal life ?” Jesus answered, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? Only One is good, but if you wish to enter into eternal life, keep the commandments.”
(NOTE The rich young ruler was a Jew who was under the ten commandments that Jesus had not yet fulfilled. He was obligated to keep them.)
He said to Jesus, “Which commandments?” And Jesus answered, “You shall not commit murder; You shall not commit adultery; You shall not steal; You shall not give false testimony; Honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as yourself.”
The young man said to Him, “I have kept all these things. (a colossal lie)What do I still lack?” Jesus answered him, “If you wish to be perfect, go and sell what you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me becoming My disciple, believing and trusting in Me and walking the same path of life that I walk.”
But when the young man heard this, he left grieving and distressed, for he owned much property and had many possessions which he treasured more than his relationship with God.
Jesus said to His disciples, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, it is difficult for a rich man who clings to possessions and status as security to enter the kingdom of Heaven.
Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man who places his faith in wealth and status to enter the kingdom of God.”
When the disciples heard this, they were utterly astonished and bewildered, saying, “Then who can be saved from the wrath of God?”
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people, it is impossible, but with God, all things are possible.”
(Matthew 19:16-22)
Jesus continued speaking to me here.
When I explained to the disciples that it was harder for a rich man to go to heaven than for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, I was explaining to them that without me, it is impossible to be saved.
I wasn’t isolating rich people at all. I need rich people; they support My work. I came so that men would have life and have it in abundance.
The teaching was that it is impossible to be saved or blessed by works. The message is that salvation is based not on the righteousness of people but on receiving my righteousness by belief in Me.
People, like the rich young ruler, place many treasures before me, like the cares of this world, the pride of life, the lust for things, and the deceitfulness of riches, which got the wise young ruler, the gospel of works, self-righteousness, the fear of what other people think, bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, doubt, and unbelief.
(Under the cares of this world lies one of the most powerful of all the evil one’s weapons, The Fear of What Other People Think Of Me. Some people will forgo salvation because they are afraid of what others will think of them if they accept Jesus.)
I taught many times that all that is required to gain eternal life with ME is to believe in ME. There are no other requirements. Yet many believe that their good works must be added to my plan.
Teach My children that I made salvation so simple because of how much I love them as individuals without regard for their behavior. Teach them that I have forgiven all of their sins, past, present, and future.
(Hebrews 8:10-12, John 1:29, Psalms 103:1-3 and 12, 1 Peter 2:24, Hebrews 10:10-18)
Show my children what I said about the requirements for salvation and blessings”.
“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world (You Personally) that He gave up His only begotten Son, (He left the glory of Heaven, put on an earth suit, walked the earth suffering the indignity of humanity, for thirty-three years experiencing every temptation of humans yet not sinning and dying the worst possible death any human has or ever will dying from every disease known and unknown to man and paying the price for every sin ever committed.) So that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM shall not perish but will live with Him forever
(John 3:16)
NOTE: Jesus added no qualifiers like, but you must be baptized, repent, confess your sins, and never sin again.
“They then said, What are we to do, that we may habitually be working the works of God?”
“Jesus replied, this is the work that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent.”
(John 6:28-29)
“I assure you most solemnly I tell you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME has eternal life.” (John 6:47)

The message is that it is more impossible to shove a camel through the eye of a needle than it is for a human to earn salvation. I AM the only Way.

I know it’s hard to understand that Jesus only requires that we believe in Him. Here is why. Humans, with their finite minds, can’t understand God.
God Speaking To All Of Us
Here is what God said about this to Isaiah the prophet:
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways
And My thoughts are higher than your thoughts
(Isaiah 55:8-9)
