PROVE IT!
After reading one of my recent teachings, a naysayer wrote those words to me.
To be exact, he wrote: “Prove to me that Jesus is real!”
The entire essence of faith is believing, without doubt, the things that can not be proven.
Holy Spirit instructed Paul to describe faith in these words:
“Now, faith is the assurance of the things we hope for, the proof of things we do not see, and the conviction of their reality.”
(Hebrews 11:1 amplified version)
Other translations read:
“Now, faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
After much meditation and communion with Jesus and Holy Spirit, this is how they explained it to me:
“Faith is living in this present moment; (NOW) joyfully celebrating (HOPE) the receipt of the great and precious promises of Jesus, regardless of what we see, hear, touch, taste, or feel. (THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.)
Faith is not something we can affect by our behavior. We can not earn it, build it, increase it, multiply it, lose it, or renew it. It is a gift to us that we receive by believing. It was given to us by Jesus through His righteousness, not our works.
“SIMON PETER, a servant and apostle of Jesus, to those (all who believe and believe in Jesus) who have received
(past tense) like precious faith with ourselves in and through the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus.”
Holy Spirit taught us through our appointed teacher Paul that we can not please God without it. Check this out:
“But without faith, it is impossible to please God. Because whoever would come near to God must believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.”
(Hebrews 11:6)
PAY ATTENTION; THIS IS IMPORTANT!
Even though Jesus gave us His faith, and if we believe and believe in Him, it is in our possession; IT IS ENTIRELY OUR CHOICE TO USE OR NOT USE IT.
I don’t have to prove that God is real. I know He is real because I invited Him into my heart. He lives there. When Jesus lives in your heart, you know it.
Do you remember the words from the Gospel classic,
“You ask me how I know He lives; He lives within my heart.”
I don’t need to prove that God exists because He already did that!
“For what is known about God is evident to them and made plain in their inner consciousness because God Himself has shown it to them.
For, ever since the creation of the world, His invisible nature and attributes, that is, His eternal power and divinity, have been made known and intelligible and clearly discernable in and through the things that have been created. So men are without excuse.”
(Romans 1:19-20)
Those who demand proof of God’s existence or deny it are only fooling themselves because they know the truth deep inside.
What would you write if you wanted to write Jesus a letter proving how much you love Him?
A quick aside; Many of you have expressed your concerns to me regarding current events and how bad things appear.
This is my message about that, cling to Jesus. Believe His promises without a doubt. Current events do not void the “Great and Precious Promises” of Jesus! We have lived through hard times before, and we are still blessed to live in the world’s greatest country in the worst of times.
Here is the Holy Spirit’s message to us for these times:
“I have strength for all things through Jesus who empowers me. [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Jesus’s sufficiency.”
