Forgive, Forgive, Forgive!

FORGIVE, FORGIVE, FORGIVE!

Forgiveness is why God came to earth in the person of Jesus. He loves you so much that He paid the horrible price of the torture of His earth suit to forgive you. He loves you that much, just as you are, sins and all!

But God shows and clearly proves His love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Jesus died for us.”

(Romans 5:8)

Greater love has no man than this: He lays down His life for His friends!

Let’s look at what Jesus did to prove His love for us by His eternal, infinite, incomprehensible love, grace, mercy, and kindness.

Then the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into the palace, and they gathered the whole battalion about Him.

They stripped Him of His clothes and put on a scarlet robe (a garment of dignity and office worn by Roman officers of rank).

And, weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on His head (the thorns painfully pierced Jesus’s head every time He took a breath. It caused Him to bleed profusely.) and put a reed in His right hand. And, kneeling before Him, they made fun of Him, saying Hail King of the Jews!

And they spat on Him and took the reed and struck Him on the head. (causing enormous pain.) And when they finished making fun of Him, they stripped Him of the robe and put His own garments on Him and led Him away to be crucified.

(Matthew 27: 27-31)

SO THEN Pilate took Jesus and scourged Him.

(Whipped Him thirty-nine lashes with a whip. Each strand of the whip was tipped with small rocks and pieces of bones. The whipper was a hardened Roman torturer skilled in the art of inflicting unbearable pain while keeping the victim alive. Jesus had his back ripped off to pay for our sins. While the thorns pierced His head, the whip tore the skin off of His back, and the salt from the sweat caused by the heat of the day soaked the wounds on His back. Jesus volunteered to suffer this pain to pay for our sins.)

“The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns, put it on His head, and threw a purple cloak around Him.

And they kept coming to Him and saying Hail, King of the Jews! And they struck Him with the palms of their hands.”

(imagine being slapped repeatedly in the face by rock-hard Roman guards.)

(John 19:1-4)

“Then he (Pontius Pilate) handed Him to them to be crucified. And they took Jesus and led Him away, so He went out carrying His cross to the spot called the Place of The Skull–in Hebrew, it is called Golgotha. There, they crucified Him and with Him two others–one on each side and Jesus between them.”

(John 19:21)

After being beaten on the head with a reed and made to wear a crown of thorns, which caused excruciating pain and massive bleeding, added to the horrible pain of having been whipped and the salt from His sweat dripping into those wounds, they drug Jesus up the Via Dolorosa to Golgotha. They made Jesus carry his cross on that ripped-up back. They spat on Him and mocked Him all along the way, as did the people He created and came to save. Try to imagine the physical and emotional suffering that the King of Love endured for each of us as individuals.

When they got to Golgotha, they drove huge spikes through His ankles and wrists and hoisted Jesus up on that cross where He suffered death by crucifixion, which is to suffocate slowly while drowning from internal bleeding. There, the King of Love, Peace, Grace, Mercy, Joy, and Gladness died in extreme pain for six hours.

JESUS FORGAVE ALL OF OUR SINS, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE, ONCE AND FOR ALL, AND PUT OUR SINS SO FAR AWAY FROM HIM THAT HE CAN NOT RECALL THEM BY PAYING THE PRICE YOU JUST READ ABOUT!

That is why asking Him to forgive us is insulting and redundant. However, it is appropriate to thank Him for forgiving us when we sin and to apologize for those sins.

A PROPHETIC MESSAGE FROM KING DAVID:

BLESS, the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits– Who forgives EVERY ONE OF YOUR INIQUITIES (sins), Who heals ALL OF YOUR DISEASES, WHO REDEEMS YOUR LIFE FROM THE PIT AND CORRUPTION, WHO BEAUTIFIES, DIGNIFIES, AND CROWNS YOU WITH LOVING KINDNESS AND MERCY. “

(Psalm 103:1-3)

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great are His mercy and loving-kindness toward those who reverently and worshipfully fear (respect) HimAS FAR AS EAST IS FROM WEST, SO FAR HAS HE REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS (sins) FROM US!

(Psalm 103:11-12)

A PROPHETIC MESSAGE FROM ISAIAH:

He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.

SURELY HE HAS (past, present tense meaning already) borne our griefs (from the Hebrew Choli, meaning illnesses, diseases, maladies, sicknesses, calamities, and sorrows) and pains of punishment. Yet, we ignorantly considered Him stricken and afflicted by God.

BUT HE WAS Wounded for our sins and transgressions; He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the punishment needed to obtain peace and well-being (for us) was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him, we are healed and made whole! (We are found in right standing with God, justified, and found not guilty. The physical healing happened in the first verse when He carried away our diseases.)

(Isaiah 53:4-5)

A PROPHETIC MESSAGE FROM ZEPHANIAH:

The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior Who Saves! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in silent satisfaction, and in His Love, He will be silent and make no mention of past sins or even recall them; He will rejoice (be elated) over you with singing.”

(Zephaniah 3:17)

“The Next Day, John saw Jesus coming and said, LOOK THERE IS THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SINS OF THE WORLD!

(John 1:29)

A NEWS REPORT FROM HOLY SPIRIT TO US THROUGH PAUL, OUR ANOINTED, APPOINTED TEACHER:

God the Father speaking about the new covenant that applies to those who choose to believe in and believe Jesus:

For I will be merciful and gracious toward their sins, and I will remember their deeds of unrighteousness no more.”

(Hebrews 8:12)

Again, God speaking about the New Covenant that applies to those who choose to believe in and believe Jesus:

“And in accordance with this will of God, we have been ( past, present tense, meaning, already) made holy through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus.

This next paragraph compares the old covenant priests and their program of works and scorekeeping, which religion prefers today, to our new covenant with Jesus.

Furthermore, every human priest stands at his altar of service, ministering daily, offering the same sacrifices over and over again (exactly like the game of continuing confession and repentance that religion forces on its followers now.), which never are able to strip the sins and take them away–

Whereas this one, Jesus, had offered a SINGLE SACRIFICE for our sins that will avail for all time, sat down at the right hand of God

Then to wait until His enemies should be made a footstool beneath His feet.

For by a SINGLE OFFERING, He has FOREVER COMPLETELY cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made Holy. (Those who believe and believe in Jesus)

Also Holy Spirit adds His testimony to us for having said, This is the agreement that I will have with them after those days, says the Lord: I will imprint my laws

(The Gospel of Jesus, The Good News Of Great Joy, Which Shall Be To All People.) upon their hearts, and I will inscribe them on their minds,

He then goes on to say, AND THEIR SINS AND THEIR LAWBREAKING I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.

NOW WHERE THERE IS ABSOLUTE REMISSION (forgiveness and cancellation of the penalty)  OF THESE SINS AND LAWBREAKING, THERE IS NO LONGER ANY OFFERING MADE TO ATONE FOR SIN.”

(Hebrews 10:10-18)

A DECLARATION FROM JOHN WHO HAD SEEN JESUS IN HEAVEN:

And from Jesus the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the firstborn of the dead and the Prince of the kings of the earth. To Him who ever loves us and has ONCE FOR ALL LOOSED US AND FREED US FROM OUR SINS BY HIS OWN BLOOD, And formed us into a kingdom a royal race priests to His God and Father–to Him be glory and the power and the majesty and the dominion throughout the ages and forever and ever. Amen.

(Revelation 1:5-6)

Summary: Jesus paid the price for all our sins, past, present, and future, once and for all! He has also chosen to forget and never again remember any of our sins. Many of us have been taught the exact opposite: God has a record of our sins, and we must continually confess and repent them, which, as Holy Spirit revealed, is impossible.

So, since Jesus paid the ultimate price to forgive us, who are we not to forgive others? Jesus often emphasized forgiving everyone who trespasses and sins against us. We are to forgive every person who hurts us. We are not to keep records of wrongs. There are many reasons for this.

Scorekeeping produces bitterness, resentment, anger, hatred, and meanness, which then produce deadly toxins that destroy our organs. Scorekeeping also separates us from the Holy Spirit, who is inside of us. Scorekeeping is surrendering to the evil one and our fleshly minds and not to the King of Love, Jesus.  It is nearly impossible to forgive those who have injured us on our own. However, if we ask Holy Spirit to help us, He surely will.

END OF TEACHING.
