Mr. D was and is a great guy. He was my third partner. The ministry was just starting and I had invested every penny my wife and I had in starting it. One day Mr. D and I were walking in the parking lot of his Charter Air Service and he looked at my tires. He observed that my tires were bald. He jumped in the passenger seat and said come on, We are going to get you some tires. Then out of the goodness of his heart, he took me to his tire store and bought me 4 new tires.
Mr. D knew that I was a high time student pilot and he let me fly with him in many of his aircraft. He had a night flight to Dallas to drop off some light cargo and he took his small jet. He called me and asked if I would like to fly with him. Do cats chase mice?
The plane was a sweet little 5 seat Cessna Citation. It was crazy fast for me with a max cruise of around 360 Knots. That little puppy had a ceiling of about 40,000 feet. We were about to fly at altitudes that I had never reached in the cockpit of an airplane.
We sat in the run up area and completed the pre-flight check list. We were cleared for departure and Mr. D said watch this. He put in full power and we roared down the runway, as we rotated (left the ground) I was nailed to the back of my seat. Compared to the planes I had flown this jets power was stunning. It was very similar to being in a fighter jet. Mr. D saw my eyes bugging out and chuckled.
So it is when we tap into the power of our King Jesus. Here are a few of the powers that our Master demonstrated in the mere 3 years of His ministry:
The first was Changing Himself From God The Father into God The Son when He entered His earth suit, and came into the world in the flesh manner.
Second was being born by a young virgin.
Followed by:
Turning water into wine (John 2:1-11)
Healing the officials son (John 4:46-54)
Healing the paralyzed man at the pool of Bethesda (have you ever heard of Bethesda Naval Hospital in Washington? Don’t tell the atheists or the ACLU!!)(John 5:12-14)
Feeding 15,000 people with 5 barley loaves and 2 fish (John 6:1-15)
Doing molecular transformation by moving a boat full of Himself and the disciples IMMEDIATELY to the shore of Lake Galilee from the middle of the lake.And walking on water. (John 6:16-21)
Replacing and fulfilling all of the Hebrew law including the ten commandments and the man made 603 attached ordinances for the Jews and saving all other people by His Word. (John 6:28-29)
The raising from the dead of His friend Lazarus. Jesus didn’t weep because He was sad. He wept because of the unbelief of His closest earthly friends.(John 11:1-44)
The first Miraculous catch. The nets were so full they were breaking. Do you want your nets to be full? Listen to Jesus! (Luke 5:12-14)
Healing the Centurions servant. Jesus was astonished by this mans use of faith!!! Would you like Jesus to be astonished at your use of His faith which he gave you when you accepted Him? (Luke 7:1-10)
First raising of the dead. Jesus raises a widows only son! (Luke 7:11-17)
Healing the Leper. There was at that time no known cure. (Matthew 8:1-4)
Healing of Peters Mother in law. Amazing!!! (Matthew8:14-15)
Jesus Heals all that were brought to Him. Not some of them. Not those who had great faith. Not those who were good. ALL OF THEM. He healed all nature of diseases including ferocious mental disorders. (Matthew 8:16-17)
Controlling the weather. Calming a violent storm at sea. (Matthew 8:23-27)
Healing another paralyzed man. (Matthew 9:1-7)
The healing of the woman with the issuance of blood. Raising Jairus’ daughter from the dead. Healing two blind men. (Luke 9:18-31)
Healing a mute man. (Matthew (9-32-34)
Healing the gentile Canaanite woman’s insane daughter. (Matthew 15;22-28)
Healing the withered hand on the sabbath. If you believe it is a sin to work on the sabbath, read this. Then ask yourself what day the sabbath is for Christians? Sunday or everyday? Jesus answered this question by stating that He is the sabbath. (Matthew 12:1-14)
Jesus is transformed into His heavenly form right in front of the disciples. (Matthew17:1-9)
Healing a boy with epilepsy and insanity, whom the disciples could not heal and why they could not heal him. (Matthew 17:15-20)
Do you need a financial miracle? No because Jesus has already given you everything you will ever need for life and Godliness. But read how He solves financial challenges. A gold coin in a fish’ mouth.(Matthew 17:24-27)
Another miraculous catch! Do you want unimaginable prosperity? Read this. (John 21:4-11)
Ascending into heaven right before the eyes of hundreds of followers. (Acts 1:6-11) As He prophesied to them in (John 6:61&62)
“AND THERE ARE ALSO MANY OTHER THINGS WHICH JESUS DID . IF THEY SHOULD ALL BE RECORDED ONE BY ONE IN DETAIL, I SUPPOSE THAT EVEN THE WORLD ITSELF COULD NOT CONTAIN OR HAVE ROOM FOR THE BOOKS THAT WOULD BE WRITTEN!”(John 21:25)
PAY ATTENTION TO THIS MESSAGE FROM JESUS!
” I ASSURE YOU MOST SOLEMNLY I TELL YOU (FILL IN YOUR NAME) IF ANYONE (THIS WORD ANYONE MEANS ANYONE) STEADFASTLY BELIEVES IN ME he himself WILL himself BE ABLE TO DO THE THINGS THAT I DO; AND WILL DO EVEN GREATER THINGS THAN THESE BECAUSE I GO TO MY FATHER”(John 14:12-14)
At this point, ask yourself if you believe Jesus. There is no half believing! Either you believe everything that Jesus said or you believe nothing He said. including but not limited to John 3:16.
If you will employ the power that Jesus gave us all, you will be nailed to the back of your seat! Try it, I double dog dare you.
