MY CONFESSION
The twenty-third Psalm is the greatest of all. It is a Holy Spirit-directed confession of how David felt about God.
It is a role model for us. I have been meditating on David’s confessions and have been led through them to write my confession. May I suggest that you challenge yourself to do the same?
Jesus challenged the disciples to tell Him who they thought He was. Peter got it right. That incident taught me that our King is interested in whether or not we have received the spiritual discernment to understand who He really is. I believe with all of my heart that He wants to hear how our hearts feel about Him.
Paul taught us to give God our praise, laudation, and eulogy. Meditating on these things, I decided to write my confession of who God the Father, God Jesus, and God Holy Spirit are to me. Here it is:
My God is everything to me. I genuinely love Him much more than I love anybody or anything else. Because He first loved me. My God loves me so much that to prove it; He died for me while I was in my deepest, darkest sins, the worst death imaginable to pay for every sin I have ever committed or ever will commit. Only He and I know how evil my heart has been, and His love has caused Him to forgive them all.
Because of His brutal sacrifice and my believing and believing in Him, I will live with Him in His love and glory for all time. For that and all of the infinite blessings and treasures He has lavished me with, I am as grateful as possible. I am overcome with love and gratitude when I think about My God.
My God loves me so much that He has numbered and ordered every one of the hundreds of trillions of cells and subcells I am made of. He has made His home in them. He is Here to guide me into all truth and show me the things to come, and He is my comforter, refuge, and strength.
My God loves me so much that He listens to me. He knows me deeply and personally. When He speaks to me, He calls me by the name He has chosen for me. I know His voice and try my best to never listen to any other.
My God has opened the eyes of my heart so that I can understand the hope to which He has called me and that He has called me His glorious inheritance.
My God is my Shepherd, too. He protects me from all evil. Because He protects me, no weapon of any kind forged against me can prosper in any way, and any voice that rises against me in judgment will be found false because He is my Wonderful Counselor.
My loving God shed His blood to give me all things that pertain to life and Godliness. I don’t need to ask Him for anything because He has chosen in His love to give me everything, including His faith. And because He has given me all things, including the desires of my heart, I do not need to fall into the sin of lusting for, lying, cheating, manipulating, forcing, or stealing the things that I need or want.
My God has destroyed the evil one on my behalf. He has thrown him to earth and given me dominion and power over him and all of his followers and agents. He has given me the power not to hear the lies of the father of all lies and to refuse to agree with his negative thoughts and arguments.
My God has assigned His angels to minister to and to serve me. He has given me all spiritual gifts and seated me with Him at His right hand.
My God has purchased for me with His blood the power and ability to do the same works that He did on earth and even greater things than them. He has given me the power to speak things into and out of existence.
My God loves me so much that He has given me a glorious inheritance. He has bequeathed me His peace, joy, and gladness to enjoy in this life and in the life to come.
My God has healed all of my diseases and calamities and carried them away because He loves me beyond my capacity to understand.
My God has caused me to live with Him in a state of Grace now and for all eternity. He has overcome all of the tribulations that come into my life so that I may always, in all circumstances, be of Good Cheer.
My God has made me a cheerful giver, and because I am He causes all Grace to come to me in every situation and is multiplying my seed sown according to His system of measurement. Because He has caused me to be a giver, men and angels are pouring into my finances until they overflow, and He has opened the floodgates of heaven and poured out a blessing so great on me that I can not imagine its quantity.
The depth of My God’s love for me can not be measured; it is infinite, unconditional, uncompromised, and incomprehensible. His mercy, kindness, generosity, compassion, and forgiveness are equally infinite and immeasurable.
Honestly, I can not understand My God. He loves and forgives the most heinous villains. He only asks that they turn to Him, accept Him, make Him their God, and believe and believe in Him. The human mind certainly does not operate on that bandwidth. We judge and condemn. My God loves and forgives. He has told me and the rest of His children that His ways are not our ways and that His thoughts are not our thoughts because His ways are above our ways, and His thoughts are above our thoughts.
My God loves me so much that He has surrounded me with wonderful friends, family, and partners like you. He loves me so much that He has entrusted me to be His special messenger to deliver His special messages.
My God loves you so much that He raised me from the dead when double COVID-19 pneumonia killed me so that I could deliver His love message to you. He entrusted me at that moment to spend the rest of my life teaching you that He loves you so much just the way you are, that He died that awful death just for you, and that He would gladly do it again if you were the only one who received Him.
So, I get that you are wondering what scriptures my confession is based on. It would bless you immensely to research each claim, meditate on them, receive them, and walk in them. They are annotated in all of our teachings.
