WHERE WERE YOU?
Sadly, very few people know the true nature of God.
This is true even though He put on an earth suit and walked among us for thirty-three years. In the last three years of His life, in the person of Jesus, God taught us everything about Himself. He spoke to us, and scribes and disciples printed His explanation precisely.
DO YOU KNOW THAT?
Jesus told us that He and the Father are one.
“IF YOU HAD KNOWN ME, YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO. FROM NOW ON, YOU DO KNOW HIM AND HAVE SEEN HIM!“
(John 14:7)
At the instant that Jesus breathed His last breath and evacuated His earth suit, He made a clear and emphatic statement to all the world:
“IT IS FINISHED!“
Then, Jesus sat down at the right hand of God!
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature, and He upholds the universe and all things by the Word of His power. After making purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty On High!”
(Hebrews 1:3)
“BUT WHEN JESUS had offered a SINGLE SACRIFICE for sin (He paid the price for ad forgave every sin, past, present, and future, once and for all.) HE SAT DOWN AT THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD.
(Hebrews 10:12)
So, Jesus accomplished everything, punctuated His works on the cross, declared that His mission was fully accomplished, and returned to His throne, where He is seated with the Most High in Heaven. In other words, Jesus left nothing undone. He Ain’t Gonna Do Nothin’!
So, Holy Spirit dictated the book: “Why Jesus Ain’t Gonna Do Nothin!” available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and wherever books are sold on line.
Folks who have been taught otherwise spend their time in vain asking God to do things He has already done. They are ignorant of the great and precious promises of Jesus, which clearly teach us all the many things He has done, so they live in sort of a spiritual befuddlement trying to get God to this thing or that or trying to outthink Him or figure Him out. All we really need to do to know everything about God is to read the Gospel of “Good News Of Great Joy, Which Shall Be To All People.“
Many people ignorant of the Gospel ask ridiculous questions like: “Why did God do this? Why did God do that? Why didn’t God do this? Why didn’t God do that?” “How can a just God forgive a murderer?”
When the better questions would be: Why don’t I know His Word? Why don’t I believe His promises? Why don’t I walk in the Truth of Jesus? How can I not know Him?
The most futile thing that a human being with a finite mind can do is to question, try to figure out, or worse, attempt to outthink God! Here is why!
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your way’s My way’s! Declares the Lord, for As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.”
(Isaiah 55:8-9)
Once upon a time, there lived a man wealthier than Elon Musk. God lavished him with miraculous wealth, fame, possessions, and a beautiful family. Unfortunately, Job had a deep-seated fear, which became a belief that God would take all of his blessings away. That belief fueled his unbelief in God, which caused him to lose it all.
In anger, denial, and deepening unbelief, the man began to accuse and blame God. He created and stated horrible, false statements and indictments against God.
You have heard one of these horrid lies all of your life:
“The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away!”
That blatant lie accuses God of Murder, theft, negligence, and every kind of evil perpetrated by evil men and the evil one. Later, when he came to his senses and listened to Holy Spirit, he recanted the lie and told the truth! He truthfully declared: “THE THINGS I FEARED THE MOST CAME UPON ME.“
During Job’s self-inflicted trials and tribulations, he began to question God’s behavior, a stupid thought prompted by the evil one who tempts us with the same ridiculous concept.
Job’s friend Elihu and God blasted Job over five chapters (36-41) in the book of Job by asking him questions. Every “believer” should be armed with the knowledge of the questions and statements in these chapters for their sakes and for precise answers for atheists, agnostics, skeptics, and fellow “believers” who are ignorant of God’s ways and in judgment of His motives.
I urge you to meditate on these scriptures. Here is a brief excerpt:
“Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me if you understand.
Who determined its measurements—surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?
On what were its bases sunk,
or who laid its cornerstone,
when the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
Or who shut in the sea with doors
when it burst out from the womb,
when I made it’s, garment
and thick darkness, its swaddling band,
and prescribed limits for it
and set bars and doors,
an’ said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther,
And here shall your proud waves stay?
Have you commanded the morning since your days began and caused the dawn to know its place,
that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?
It is changed like clay under the seal,
and its features stand out like a garment. From the wicked, their light is withheld,
and their uplifted arm is broken.
Have you entered into the springs of the sea,
or walked in the recesses of the deep?
Have the gates of death been revealed to you,
or have you seen the gates of deep darkness?
Have you comprehended the expanse of the earth?
Declare, if you know all this.
Where is the way to the dwelling of light,
and where is the place of darkness,
that you may take it to its territory
and that you may discern the paths to its home?
You know, for you were born then,
and the number of your days is great!
Have you entered the storehouses of the snow,
or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
which I have reserved for the time of trouble,
for the day of battle and war?
What is the way to the place where the light is distributed or where the east wind is scattered upon the earth?
Who has cleft a channel for the torrents of rain
and a way for the thunderbolt,
to bring rain on a land where no man is,
on the desert in which there is no man,
to satisfy the waste and desolate land,
and to make the ground sprout with grass?
Has the rain a father,
or who has begotten the drops of dew?
From whose womb did the ice come forth,
and who has given birth to the frost of heaven?
The waters become hard like stone,
and the face of the deep is frozen.
Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades
or loose the cords of Orion?
Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth(the Hebrew word referring to the zodiac or the 12 constellations of the zodiac) In their season,
or can you guide the Bear with its children?
GET THAT! GOD IS TALKING TO JOB ABOUT THE TWELVE CONSTELLATIONS, INCLUDING URSA MAJOR (the Great Bear) and the Zodiac before men knew anything about them or had a telescope!
Do you know the ordinances of the heavens?
Can you establish their rule on the earth?
Can you lift your voice to the clouds,
that a flood of waters may cover you?
Can you send forth lightning, that they may go
and say ‘o you, ‘Her’ we are’?
Who has put wisdom in the inward parts
or given understanding to the mind?
Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
when the dust runs into a mass
and the clods stick fast together?
Can you hunt the prey for the lion,
or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in their thicket?
Who provides for the raven its prey,
when its young ones cry to God for help,
and wander about for lack of food?
(Excerpt from Job 37)
I am certain that you get the point. We should never question God; we should know Him better by knowing the Gospel of Jesus.
