And the Word Became Flesh

AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH

I have had people ask me to prove one single miracle so that they can then accept that Jesus is God and become a believer. Here for those with a staggering need for proof, it is.

We all know that Jesus performed more “miracles” than can be counted and that many were not recorded. John the Disciple, an eyewitness to all of them, wrote these words:

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were recorded one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.” (John 21:25)

We know that Jesus did many works that were stunning and hard to believe; that is why He surrounded himself with many eyewitnesses, the best known of whom are the twelve disciples, but thousands of others saw the miracles as well.

Paul taught us that out of the mouths of two or more witnesses, the Word of God is confirmed; That was part of the Hebrew tradition.

So God the Father, God Jesus, and Holy Spirit planned Their miracles, so there was no way to deny them.

Lawyers have a term called “the preponderance of the evidence.” Meaning that there are so many witnesses and so much factual evidence presented that one must conclude beyond a reasonable doubt that the facts can be considered overwhelming truth. That is what They did. They produced overwhelming evidence that is undeniable with every work that they performed.

They also employed what I call irrefutable or unarguable logic. Check it out. Study the teachings of Jesus and see for yourselves if there is anything He taught or said that can be accurately disputed or found to be false.

The leaders of the Temple were furious with Jesus because of His teachings. They sent out their guards (picture the FBI) to arrest Jesus so they could try Him for blasphemy, heresy, and treason. They returned without Him. The high priests, seething with anger, demanded to know why they had not seized Jesus. The guards replied:

“Because no man has ever spoken like He does.”

(John 7:32-52)

Absolute Truth! The sayings and teachings of Jesus seal my unwavering belief in Him.

Here are a few of the many works that Jesus performed that no one else has ever done or will ever duplicate:

Raising the dead. Jesus did this at least four times;

The wealthy widow’s son, the daughter of the priest Jairus, Lazarus, and Himself.

(Mark 5:21-43, Luke 7:11-17, John 11:1-44, John 20:11-18)

Molecular transformation:

Jesus did molecular transformation at least twice, once when the religious people attempted to throw Him from a cliff, and He vanished. (Luke 4:29-30)

The second time, He stepped into the boat with His disciples after walking across the sea of Galilee to catch up with them. IMMEDIATELY the boat, which was in the middle of the sea eight miles away from their destination, was transported to the shore where they were going. A boat loaded with thirteen men and their equipment was transported through time and space in less than the blink of an eye! Astonishing.

(John 6:21)

Healing all nature of diseases once and for all:

Jesus died from every disease known and unknown to man on the cross, thus defeating them so that we walk in divine supernatural health through the power of belief.

Unfortunately, the overwhelming collective unbelief of the people has blocked us from receiving healing and empowered diseases. In His hometown, Jesus could do no mighty works because of the unbelief of the people.

(Matthew 13:58, Isaiah 53:4-5, Psalm 103:1-3, 1Peter2:24, Matthew 8:16=17)

Feeding fifteen thousand people with five loaves of bread and two fish:

(John 6:1-13) A huge takeaway from this incident is that Jesus was in a challenging situation. He had to feed all these hungry folks and had no food. Notice that Jesus did not call for a prayer group, beg God for the food, remind God of His good works, or call for the church’s elders to pray in agreement with Him. He gave thanks. He taught us how to pray right then. The instant Jesus gave thanks, the food was there.  To get the attention of the doubting disciples, there were twelve baskets of food left over. One full basket for each of them.

We know and meditate on these and many other miracles that Jesus performed. I challenge you to meditate on this the greatest of all of the miracles of Jesus performed by the power and incomprehensible, unqualified, infinite love of God:

In the beginning before all time was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God.”

(John 1:1)

And the Word became flesh (human) and lived among us, and we actually saw His glory, such glory as an only begotten son receives from His Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH.”

(John 1:14)

JESUS TAUGT US THAT HE AND GOD ARE ONE IN THE SAME.

Jesus said to Him, I am The Way and The Truth and The LIFE; no one comes to the Father except by Me. IF YOU HAD KNOWN ME, YOU WOULD ALSO HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER. FROM NOW ON, YOU KNOW HIM AND HAVE SEEN HIM

Phillip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, then we shall be satisfied.

Jesus replied, Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet, Phillip?

ANYONE WHO HAS SEEN ME HAS SEEN THE FATHER! How can you say then, show us the Father? (John 14:7-9)

There you have it. God loves you just the way you are so much that He left heaven’s splendor, majesty, and glory to become a human named Yeshua (Jesus) in English, to purchase you for Himself so that you can choose to live with Him in Heaven for eternity. Our finite human minds are incapable of comprehending that level of love.

How then is it even possible that we doubt anything that He said or did?

Think about God, The Almighty, The Lord of Lords, The One Who Was and Is and Is To Come, leaving His home where He is exalted above all to come and walk the earth for thirty-three years, being tempted at all points just as we are, experiencing all of the bodily functions that we do, sweating in the heat of the middle east, and dying the most humiliating and painful death any human ever has or ever will, just for you.

Sometimes, we all feel unloved, unwanted, unappreciated, unworthy, and alone. Don’t feel bad. It happens. When it happens, go back and meditate on the greatest of all miracles that the Creator of All Things did just to have you with Him. That is how much He loves you regardless of your behavior or lack thereof.

End of Teaching.
