HOW TO SURVIVE THESE INSANE TIMES
AND BE HAPPY, JOYFUL AND FREE!
God knew that there would be times like this when evil people would take advantage of their constituents and impose their immoral and contemptuous ways on ignorant (not stupid, lacking knowledge) and unsuspecting people.
When God became flesh and walked among us, He taught us how to live in peace and joy. At that time, the Romans had enslaved the people of Israel, and they were taxed into poverty. Sound familiar? They were a type of what could come. Yet in the face of the brutality and oppression, repression, and suppression of God’s chosen people, He made the way for them to find the peace that surpasses understanding.
His way was not to overthrow the Romans militarily but to teach us how to live with joy under any circumstances because the cares of this world are very temporary.
Ironically, if His children had lived the way that He taught them, the Romans would have found the life that Jesus prescribed so compelling that they would have changed and been led by LOVE.
Imagine today if all of Jesus’s people had refused to believe in Covid. What if instead of closing churches in fear they refused to close and instead taught their flocks the truth that Jesus destroyed covid and every disease on the cross by dying from them all? It would have been disempowered and would not have spread across the United States or the world. Because leading by example, faith would have spread, not the plague.
This life is a wisp of smoke, the blink of an eye. The things of God’s unseen world are eternal; it is on them that we should place most of our attention.
The way that God made for us is to focus on Him and believe in Him and His glorious promises guaranteed by the blood of Jesus that no politician can take away.
Here is how Paul, our appointed teacher, put it:
The Recipe For Peace From The Holy Spirit To Us
“So we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are visible are temporal just brief and fleeting, but the things which are invisible are everlasting and imperishable.” (2Corinthians 4:18)
Meaning focusing on the Words and promises of Jesus
will overcome any fear brought on by what we see.
The Recipe For Peace From Our King Jesus:
“Do Not Let Your Hearts Be Troubled!
Neither be afraid! You believe in God.
Believe also in Me.” (John 14:1)
“But first and most importantly, seek first His kingdom and His righteousness (Jesus, The Holy Spirit, and God and their Words), and all these things (all of the things that we worry about, pray for, need, and want.) will be given to you also. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:33-34)
Do not worry and take no thought for tomorrow are commandments from Jesus and are keys to receiving His Peace, which He freely gave those of us who believe in and believe Him. Staying in this present moment is the key to obtaining the faith and Peace of Jesus, which He has freely given us.
“Peace I leave with you; My perfect (A state of complete undisturbedness and rest in Him) peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be afraid.” (John 14:27)
“I have told you these things so that in Me, you may have perfect Peace. In the world, you will have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
Meaning, whatever the problem is that you face, no matter how large or small, Jesus has overcome it.
“And now I am coming to You; (Jesus was about to come to His Father) I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them that they may experience My delight fulfilled in them, that My enjoyment may be perfected in their own souls, that they may have My gladness within them, filling their hearts.”
(John 17:13)
In the above scripture, Jesus is talking to Father God.
He is telling Him that He has accepted the horrid assignment of the worst death ever to pay for His joy is full and complete and perfect in us and that our gladness and joy will be full and overflowing because of what He did.
Think about that. Jesus died from every disease known and unknown to man, on the cross, including covid, thereby destroying them and their power over us. He also bore every sin ever imagined or committed to f forgive us of all of our sins: past, present, or future and in so doing making it impossible for Him to remember them so that we would be holy, innocent, and beyond judgment in His eyes. How then can we not be happy? The answer is that we are living outside of this present moment and focusing more on the cares of our situation and of the world, more than on Him and His works.
(Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, 1Peter2:24, Psalm 103:1-3 and 12, John 1:29, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10-17)
More From The Holy Spirit through Paul:
“Rejoice (RE-JOY-YOURSELF choose to be full of joy no matter what your circumstances.) in the Lord always delight, take pleasure in Him again; I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit, your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious or worried about anything.”
“Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s Word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings Peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of Peace and well-being will be with you.”
(Philippians 4:6-10)
REGARDLESS OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD, DECIDE TO BE HAPPY AND FULL OF JOY! JESUS IS WITH YOU!!! HE LOVES YOU BEYOND YOUR ABILITY TO UNDERSTAND. HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU.
