ARE YOU RECEIVING THE BENEFITS OF JESUS?
“Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is [deep] within me bless His holy name.
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;”
(Psalm 103:1-2)
Focus on this one scripture dictated to Peter by the Holy Spirit:
“Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus:
To those who have received and possess [by God’s will] a precious faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus : Grace and peace [that unique sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord.
For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
For by these He has bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises [of inexpressible value], so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom that is in the world because of disreputable desire, and become sharers of the divine nature.”
(2Peter1:1-4)
Meaning, why would be lust for things or be jealous or covetous or greedy when we already have everything?
Go back and reread it slowly and for comprehension.
The Holy Spirit says that Jesus bought us everything we will ever need or want, with His blood and that He has already given them to us.
“My dear friend and Bible teacher Brother Ed Everett says that the problem with most “believers” is that we are always trying to break into a room that we are standing in the middle of.”
“He has given us all things!” There is so much meat in these four little verses. They declare that we have been given the faith of Jesus. We can not add to His faith. We can not build it. We can not multiply it. We can not add to or subtract from it. We have the full measure of the faith of the King of Kings and Lord of lords given to us freely in exchange for Believing Jesus.
These scriptures confirm that all we will ever want or need has been given us.
Eternal Salvation (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-11)
His power: (John 14:12-14)
Whatever we want or need: (John 15:7, Matthew 18:19)
Complete and permanent healing of all diseases known and unknown to man. (Matthew 8:16-17, Isaiah 53:4)
Abundant Life (John 10:10)
The ability to speak things into existence (Mark 11:22-24)
Dominion over the stench in God’s nostrils and all of his minions. (Luke 10:18, Mark 16:18)
Think about this: Since Jesus has already given us ALL THINGS, why would we pray and ask Him for what He has already given us? Yet that is precisely what we have been taught to do and is thus our first thought.
When Jesus instructed people to ask, He did so before He had paid the price that gave us “All things that pertain to life and Godliness.” When we believe Jesus, we no longer need to ask Him for things.
Instead, what we should do is live in this present moment celebrating the receipt of these great and precious promises and act on them. We need to Praise Jesus, Give Jesus glory, Give Him thanks for what He gave us and use those great and precious promises. We need to thank Him for the price He paid to give them to us freely.
“He who did not spare [even] His own Son, but gave Him up for us all, how has He not also, along with Him, freely given us all things? (Romans 8:32)
When a symptom comes up: “Symptom, you are a lie from hell. Jesus has healed my body completely. I refuse to accept you, and I praise Jesus that I am completely whole. Brain I command you to receive the healing given us at the instant we believed Jesus.”
“Praise you, Lord, I refuse to allow my flesh or the evil one convince me that I am sick. Halleluiah, I am well!!”
Whatever the situation in our lives, we need to act as if we have already received the answer and overcome the situation because Jesus has. We need to be of GOOD CHEER! FOR our King has overcome the problem and He who is in us is greater than any situation or thing and the one who is in the world.
My dear friend and fellow Word Teacher Loyd Skidmore summed up the Gospel in this short irrefutable statement:
“Believe and Recieve! Doubt and do without!”
