Which Are You?

The message to you from The Holy Spirit:

“WHICH ARE YOU?”

Jesus said that the parable of the sower is the most important of all of His teaching parables. In it, he identified four very different types of people who hear His Gospel.

(Matthew 13)

1. Those whose hearts are rocky ground.

These folks hear the Gospel but are so flesh minded and earthbound that they do not understand it and the evil one comes and snatches it away from them.

2. Those who hear the Word and receive it with joy,

but when affliction or persecution or trouble come on account of the Word they stumble and fall. They are repelled and begin to distrust and desert Him Whom they ought to trust and obey, and they fall away.

3. Those who receive the Word but the cares of the world and the pleasures and delights and glamour and deceitfulness of riches choke and suffocate the Word, and it yields no fruit.

4. Those whose hearts thirst for the Word and choose to believe it and keep it and teach it. Their hearts are soft and pliable and teachable. I liken it to deep dark rich fertile Iowa soil. When a seed (The Word) hits it, it grows into beautiful, healthy corn. When they hear the great and precious blood guaranteed promises, they believe them without a doubt and stand on them, and they come to life and bear much fruit.

Number one are atheists. They claim that they do not believe in Jesus or God or the Holy Spirit, which is entirely impossible because God has planted the knowledge of Himself in everything He has created. They are lying to themselves and their fellow “atheists,” and they know it.

For [God does not overlook sin and] the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men; who in their wickedness suppress and stifle the truth,  because that which is known about God is evident within them [in their inner consciousness], for God made it evident to them”.

“For, ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power, and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they who fail to believe and trust in Him are without excuse and without defense.”

“Because when they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks for His wondrous creation. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations, and their foolish heart darkened.  Claiming to be wise, they became fools,  and exchanged the glory and majesty and excellence of the immortal God for an image of worthless idols.” (Science and Reason, Their carnal minds)

(Romans 1:18-21)

There are a couple of “atheists” who troll our teachings and write all kinds of vicious comments mocking us and God and everything good. They are insignificant statistics. They know for a fact that there is no such thing as an atheist, they are merely contrarians, and fools mocking God. As Teacher Dwight Keith says: “Barking dogs do not stop a train.”

Those who deny God and mock Him are committing the worst mistake possible, the consequences of which are ghastly — being cast into the outer darkness of pure unmitigated pain,  misery, and hopelessness for all of eternity.

They know the truth to some extent, but they rebel against the truth to be cool. Hell is not cool. The moment that they expel their last breath, they will learn sadly, that everything they convinced themselves to believe is wrong, and they are sealing their fate.

Number two are the Christmas and Easter only crowd. They only choose to believe in God when they think they need a miracle or when they come to Him in fear of being punished for not coming grudgingly and out of necessity to Him.

They hear the Word and at first receive it with joy, but soon abandon it for fear of what others think of them, or because they believe what they see more than what they do not see.

Number three are those who hear the Word and receive it but are torn away by the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things. Jesus has explained the four primary arrows in the evil one’s quiver:

The lust of other things. (anything that we pursue or that  we place a higher value on than Jesus)

The deceitfulness of riches. ( making the obtaining of wealth more important than Jesus).

The cares of this world. (Being more concerned with the things of the world than the Gospel of Jesus)

The pride of life: (Placing the pride of success in this world, above success in the infinite world of God.)

Number four are those who live in heaven on earth as a choice. They choose to be happy. They decide to believe every Word that Jesus speaks, and they know that He has guaranteed His Words with His blood. They make the Words of Jesus the most important thing in their lives, and they are guided by them. These are the most excellent people in the world. They are the shining city on the hill. They attract people to Jesus through their beliefs and actions.

Which type are you?

I am beaming the love of Jesus to all of you!
