THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM PART IV

“FOR WHILE THE LAW CAME THROUGH MOSES,
GRACE (God’s willingness, ability, and power that has done those things for us, which we can not or will not do for ourselves.) AND TRUTH CAME THROUGH JESUS!!”
(John 1:17 Amplified)
Please meditate on that scripture. It is a clear delineation
between the ten commandments and the 603 attached ordinances; and God’s new program of justification and righteousness through the grace of Jesus.
Please carefully understand this message from Paul who was appointed a special messenger to us, by God:
“So then, those who are people of faith are blessed and made happy and favored by God with the believing Abraham.”
“And all who depend on the Law [who are seeking to be justified by obedience to the law] are under a curse and doomed to disappointment and destruction, for it is written
in the Scriptures:
Cursed ( accursed, devoted to destruction, doomed to eternal punishment ) be everyone who does not continue to abide (live and remain) by ALL THE PRECEPTS
and COMMANDS written in the book of the law and to practice them.”
“Now it is evident that no person is justified ( found not guilty, declared righteous and brought into right standing with God.) through the Law, for the man in right standing with God shall live by and out of faith and he who through and by faith is declared righteous and in the right standing with God shall live.”
(Galatians 3:9-11 Amplified)
Please understand. Those who place themselves under a performance-based relationship with God are dead. Why?
Because it is impossible to please God by behavior.
Paul just declared under the direction of God in the person of the Holy Spirit that those who attempt to gain righteousness by obeying laws is cursed because they are then responsible to keep every single one of the 603 man-made ordinances and the 10 Commandments. Jesus went further by defining sin as being in thought or in deed. As Dr. Phil says, “Let me know how that is working for you.”
Ask yourself how you are doing at loving God with all of your heart, your mind, and your soul. Before you tell me you do, ask your self how much time you spend watching television, social media, busy work, etc.
Then honestly ask yourself how much time you give to God. How much do you spend on entertainment compared to what you invest in God’s work?
Now you begin to understand the impossibility of anyone keeping even the first one.
God gave the Law to the Jews because they rejected Him for a King and Laws. They refused to listen to Him and from that moment on, God never spoke to them except through prophets.
“Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah and said to him, “Look, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint us a king to judge us [and rule over us] like all the other nations.” But their demand displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge and rule over us.” So Samuel prayed to the Lord. The Lord said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all that they say to you, for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them.”

Then they said to Moses, “You speak to us and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us or we will die.”
(Exodus20:19 Amplified)
Can you Imagine how our Lord felt when He heard His chosen people reject Him for a King and Laws and refuse to Listen to Him? It happens all day every day!!! Even those who claim to know Jesus are refusing to believe Him to this very day.
The rejection of God in favor of a King and Laws and refusing to listen to Him are the transgressions that brought on the commandments as referred to in Galatians 3:19.
The Jews preferred returning to Egypt and to the bondage of slavery to works than to live in Grace with God. Some Christians today feel the same way. They prefer slavery to works to living by Grace through Faith. So very sad.
Please Understand this. The Gentiles (All non Jews) were never under the Hebrew laws including the ten commandments at any time.
DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT INSTRUCTING ANYONE TO DISOBEY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS!!!!!
“For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith.
And this is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way”
“For we are His workmanship [His own masterwork, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
(Ephesians 2:8-10 Amplified)
That is the Holy Spirit explaining everything about our new
program with God. Grace through Faith which is not of ourselves but a free gift from God! NOT OF WORKS!
So that no person can claim to be holier than another or boast about superiority in the eyes of God.
PLEASE TAKE TIME AND SOAK THIS TEACHING IN!
“Therefore, remember that at one time you Gentiles by birth, who are called “Uncircumcision” by those who called themselves “Circumcision,” [itself a mere mark] which is made in the flesh by human hands— remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God.
(Ephesians 2:11-12 Amplified)
Simple!!! The law never applied to anyone but the children of Israel and then for a very limited amount of time, until Jesus came and saved the Jews from the law and us Gentiles from ourselves.
“Why, then, was the law given at all? It was added because of transgressions until the Seed(Jesus) to whom the promise referred had come.”
(Galatians 3:19)
It is important that the promise given to Abraham that his SEED would be mighty in the world was regarding Jesus the SEED. Not seeds.
At the instant, Jesus’ earth suit expelled its last breath, the veil of the temple which separated man from God was torn into from the top to the bottom because Jesus had fulfilled the law and making the Jews free from it. At the same moment when He was lifted up, He drew the Gentiles into Himself and all were forgiven their sins once and for all, and healed from every disease known and unknown to man!
“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.”
“At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to, many people.
(Matthew27:52)
Boom! the Jews were no longer bound to the works of the law (all 613 of them).
“And I, if and when I am lifted up from the earth [on the cross], will draw all people to Myself [Gentiles, as well as Jews].” He said this to indicate the kind of death by which He was to die.”
(John 12:23 Amplified)
Boom! The gentiles (us) were saved, forgiven and healed, the instant Jesus expelled the last breath of His earth suit!
All that is needed now to join Jesus in eternal bliss, is to “believe on the One Whom He Has Sent!
(John 6:28-29)
Because of the love and blood of our King, we have entered into a state of Grace through Faith! (Romans 5:1)
Therefore, it would be well to understand what Grace and Faith are:
Calling Grace undeserved or unmerited favor is akin to calling a Lamborghini a cup holder. What Grace is: The ability, power, and willingness of God that has done for us, those things which we could not, would not, or can not do for ourselves.
Faith is living in this present moment with joyful celebration of the promises that Jesus guaranteed with His blood, regardless of what we see with our flesh eyes.
We are freely given the faith of Jesus at the moment we accept Him. It can not be gained, multiplied, stretched, grown, expanded or lost.
(2Peter1:1)
I urge you to make this teaching the cornerstone of your new Grace based life. The ten commandments are the laws that the God gave the Jews to live by. They are from His heart. We should obey them only because we love Him and these are His teachings about right and wrong.
Not grudgingly or out of necessity or out of fear but cheerfully and joyfully because we love our King and
want to do the right thing, as we are His children that
He cherishes.
