THE GLORY OF THE LORD AND US…

THE GLORY OF THE LORD AND US

Many have attempted to define the Word GLORY. In preparing this message, Holy Spirit told me that GLORY is the radiance of God’s love. GLORY is a reflection of the essence of God. It is the image, the Splendor, the Magnificence of God. The Hebrew origin of the Word is kavod which means magnificence/splendor. This Word hardly explains it. Neither does the Greek or English. The fact is that it is impossible to describe God’s Glory with human words.

We see the Glory of God in a new believer, a newborn child, the wonder of His works like the eye, or the beauty of the ocean. God sees it in those of us who believe.

Holy Spirit guided Paul, our teacher, to write about the GLORY OF GOD that comes into those who believe Jesus and thus receive the indwelling Holy Spirit, as opposed to the fading away of the GLORY that happens when the ministry of works and performance is taught:

Now if the ministry of death, engraved in letters on stones the covenant of the Law( The ten commandments) which led to death because of sin, came with such Glory and Splendor that the Israelites were not able to look steadily at the face of Moses because of its Glory, a brilliance that was fading, how will the ministry of the Spirit (The Good News Which Shall Be To All People, The Gospel of Jesus) the new covenant which allows us to be Spirit-filled, fail to be even more glorious and splendid?

For if the ministry that brings condemnation, the old covenant, the Law has Glory, how much more does Glory overflow in the ministry that brings righteousness, the new covenant which declares believers free of guilt and sets them apart for God’s special purpose!

NOTE:

Jesus freed us from all our past, present, and future sins, once and for all, and put them out of His memory, thus removing our guilt. (Psalm 103:1-3 and 12, John 1:29, John 3:16-18, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10-18, Revelation 1:5) Guilt is a weapon of the enemy, not a tool of God.

Indeed, what had Glory, the Law (which never applied to anyone except the Jews Ephesians 2:8-12), in this case, no longer has Glory because of the Glory that surpasses it, the Gospel of Jesus. For if that Law which fades away came with Glory, how much more must that which remains and is permanent abide in Glory and Splendor!

Since we have such a glorious hope and confident expectation, we speak with great courage, and we are not like Moses, who used to put a veil over his face so that the Israelites would not gaze at the end of the Glory, which was fading away.

But their minds were hardened, for they had lost the ability to understand; until this very day at the reading of the old covenant, the same veil remains unlifted because it is removed only in Jesus.

But to this day, whenever Moses (The Ten Commandments and the attached six hundred and three man-made traditions)is read, a veil of blindness lies over their heart; but whenever a person turns to Jesus (believes and believes in Jesus), the veil is taken away.

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (made free from bondage to works), true freedom. And we all, with unveiled faces, continually seeing as in a mirror the Glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from one degree of Glory to even more Glory, which comes from the Lord, Who is the Spirit !”

(2 Corinthians 3:7-18)

We say: “To God Be The Glory.” God says: To those who believe in Jesus, be the Glory.” When we believe and believe in Jesus, we live in Him, and He lives in us. We are instantly filled with The Glory of The Lord and Himself in the person of Holy Spirit, and we become His Glorious Inheritance. And, the more we eat His flesh and drink His blood, consume and make His Word the most important thing in our lives, and believe beyond doubt that He guaranteed every Word He spoke with His blood, the Glory in us grows and grows!

(John 6:55-56,John 15:4-Ephesians 1:18)

Do you believe you are full of the Glory and Power, Majesty and Magnificence and Splendor and Love of God the Father, God Jesus, and God Holy Spirit? God says that you are, regardless of how you feel.

In the eleventh chapter of John, we read the news report of two sisters and their brother who were dear friends of Jesus; Martha, Mary, and Lazarus. Lazarus was close to death, and the sisters sent a messenger to Jesus to tell Him about the situation.

Jesus sent them back a message that the illness would not end in death but that God and Jesus would be glorified through the healing of Lazarus. The sisters did not believe Jesus, and their unbelief caused Lazarus to die. Jesus asked them this question:

DID I NOT TELL YOU THAT YOU WOULD SEE THE GLORY OF GOD IF YOU BELIEVED”?

MEANING:

BELIEF BRINGS GLORY. UNBELIEF BRINGS DEATH.

Do you believe that you are filled with the Glory of God?

What does being filled with Glory mean to you? How do you appropriate the Glory? How do you employ it? What do you do with it?

You focus your thoughts on it. You get in your quiet place and meditate on it. You thank God for it. You soak in it. You receive it by believing it, claiming it, and walking in it As the great Theologian and Bible Scholar Ron Reeser teaches, You beam it to everyone!

I triple-dog dare you to try meditating on the Glory that God has deposited in you. Love, peace, joy and gladness will fill your heart and soul, if you do.
