For Jesus lovers Christmas isn’t December 25th! Its every da, As a matter of fact, there is clear evidence that it was more likely
that it happened on passover in April. Since most of us have become accustomed to cerebrating the entry of God into the earth as a child on the 25th of December,
so for the purposes of these teachings, will we, as well.
You may be asking why I am sending you a Christmas teaching before Thanksgiving. Here is the reason, the real Christmas storyis far more involved than what we hear in a 20 minute sermon or
homily.
This will be a series that will take us right up to Christmas eve. We will learn the characters and their distinct roles and the totality of the events that occurred.
This week we will study the Lord our God, and how his entire earthly ministry began. It wasn’t on Christmas. It was as far backas the beginning of everything. The primary attribute of God, is Love! Just as you learned in early Sunday School. His motivation is always and will always
be love. So as God in all three persons created everything, He started with Love.
Here not Bethlehem, is the beginning of the greatest moment the
world has ever known:
“ Even as in His love He chose us (Actually picked us,You! Fill in your name) in Jesus BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, that we should be holy, blameless and beyond correction before Him in Love.”
“So that we might be to the commendation of HIs glorious grace,
(Grace is God’s willingness, ability and power that has done for
us, those things which we can not or will not do for ourselves.)
which He so FREELY gave us in the Beloved.”
“In Him we have redemption (Deliverance and Salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (All sins, past present and future) in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor.”
“Which He LAVISHED on us in every kind of wisdom and understanding. Making known to us the mystery of HIs will, His plan and purpose. In accordance with His god pleasure, His merciful intention which He had previously purposed and set forth in Jesus”.
“He planned for the maturity of the times and the climax of the ages to unity all things and head them up and consummate them
in Jesus both things in Heaven and in eart.”
(Ephesians 1:4-10)
And so it began!
