Never Give Up! Never Give Up! Never Give Up!

NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP! NEVER GIVE UP!

This message from the Holy Spirit is about facing huge unmoving mountains in every area of our lives it may be health, relational, addiction, business problems or any nature of frightful circumstances. It is primarily about those who are staring at a financial Everest.

Today, for a variety of reasons, many find themselves in what appears to the flesh eye, dire financial situations. Nothing is more frightening to people than the fear of economic insecurity. It is a fear that destroys relationships, is self multiplying, and is overwhelmingly depressing.

When what appears to be financial doom appears, people panic. The high anxiety and worry regarding lack, causes folk to turn away from and doubt God and to try to solve the problem themselves.

When that clinging anxiety cloaks people, they begin to believe and say the wrong thing. This just makes the situation worse. Here are some examples that I hear frequently. I am sure you can think of more:

“I’ve given and given and see no multiplication. I have stood in faith nothing wavering and am on the rocks. What did I do wrong? Are you punishing me Lord? I see other people who never give and do not walk with you; prosper,
yet I follow you and never see the fruit. I tell people about you and even lead them to salvation, yet I am broke.”

“Here are some more reactions to walking into the valley of the SHADOW of death. What am I going to do? How am I going to get out of this?”

“What will my friends who have heckled me for years about my strong belief going to say now? What are my friends, relatives and neighbors going to say about me behind my back. Is my ship going down because I don”t believe?”

“Why did I ever walk away from that old time religion? Why did I take you literally? Are you even real God? Are your Words not true or just not true for me?”

Many of us have been in this situation before and said these things or at least thought them.

So lets examine God’s Word about how to deal with horrid appearing circumstances:

The answer from Jesus:

“THEREFORE I TELL YOU, STOP being perpetually uneasy, anxious and worried! About your life, what you shall eat, what you shall drink; or about your body, what you shall put on.

Jesus just commanded us to STOP worrying about our needs and wants. The examples of food and drink and clothing are just representatives of the things that we are continually tempted to worry about. They certainly include finances and bills and work and business as well.

“Is not life greater in quality than food, and the body far above and more excellent that clothing?”

“Look at the birds of the air; they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your Heavenly Father keeps feeding them. Are you not worth much more than they?”

“And who of you by worrying and being anxious can add one unit of measure to his stature or to the span of his life.”

“And why should you be anxious about clothes? Consider the lilies of the field and learn thoroughly how they grow; they neither toil nor spin.”

“Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his magnificence was not arrayed like on of these. But if God so clothes the frats of the field, which today is alive and green and tomorrow is tossed into the furnace, will He not much more surely clothes you, O you of little faith?”

“THEREFORE DO NOT WORRY AND BE ANXIOUS, saying What are we going to eat? (what are we going to do? What am I going to do?) Or, What are we going to drink or what are we going to have to wear?”

“For those who reject me, wish for and crave and diligently seek all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows well that you need them all.”

“But seek first of all His Kingdom and His righteousness and then all these things will be given you besides.”
God’ Kingdom is found in His Word! His righteousness comes from making Jesus our King!

So, DO NOT WORRY OR BE ANXIOUS about tomorrow, (live in this present moment) for tomorrow will have worries and anxieties of its own. Sufficient for each day is its own trouble.
(Matthew 6:25-34)

In God’s world there is only this moment! Time does not exist. In fact, time is nothing but a theory created by men.

It is in this moment that we receive all of the promises of God! The present is God’s address.

We need not worry about anything that we desire because God has already given all of the followers of Jesus, ALL THINGS THAT PERTAIN TO LIFE AND GODLINESS, including His Faith. HE has already given us everything we will ever need or want, and by using His Faith which he freely gave us, we receive all of His great and precious promises.
(2Peter1:1-4)

Faith is the substance formed from standing in this present moment full of joyous expectation. With out it it is impossible to please God because whoever comes to Him must believe that He is and that if He is, He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
(Hebrews 11:1 and 11:6)

We receive the promises ( John 14: 12-14; 2Peter1:1-3,Isaiah 53:4&5, John 10:10, Luke 10:38, 2Corinthians 9:6, Luke 10:18, Matthew 18:18-20, Mark 11:22-24) by joyfully expecting them regardless of what we see!

Remember this: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE!

“Then said the Lord to the prophet Jeremiah, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My Word to Perform It!”
(Jeremiah 1:12)

“For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,”

“So shall My Word be that goes both out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose in th thing for which I sent it.”
(Isaiah 55:10)

“I will worship toward Your holy temple and praise Your name For Your loving-Kindness and for Your Truth and faithfulness; for You have exalted above all else Your name and Your Word and You have magnified Your Word above all Your Name.”

(Psalm 138:2)

Yes! David truthfully proclaimed that God honors His Word above His name.

If we accept Jesus, we must also believe that He can not lie, that every single comment of His is absolute inviolate truth. God’s word is unchanging, inalterable, unquestioned, irrefutable truth whether we choose to believe it or not!

Read the teaching from Paul:

“ In order that you may not grow disinterested and become spiritual sluggards, but imitators, behaving as so those who through faith by their cleaning of the entire personality
on God in Jesus in absolute trust and confidence in His power, wisdom and goodness and by practice of patient endurance and waiting are now inheriting the Promises.”

“For when God made His promise to Abraham , He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear, Saying Blessing I certainly will bless you and multiplying I will multiply you.”

“And so it was that he Abraham, having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained in the birth of Issac as a pledge of what was to come what God had promised Him.”

“Accordingly God also, in HIs desire to show more convincingly and beyond doubt to those who were to inherit the promise the unchanging nature of His purpose and plan, intervened, mediated with and oath.”

“This was so that , by two unchangeable things; His promise and His oath in which IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD ever to prove false or deceive us we who have fled to Him for refuge might have mighty indwelling strength and strong encouragement to grasp and hold fast the hope appointed for us and set before us.

“Now we have this hope as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul. It cannot slip and it cannot break down under whoever steps our upon it—a hope that reaches farther and enters into the very certainty of the Presence within the view where Jesus has entered in for us in advance a Forerunner having become a High Priest forever with the rank of Melchizedek.”

Those are the precise Words of God given to Paul by the Holy Spirit.

GOD CAN NOT LIE!

Just so you will know, Melchizedek was a role that Jesus took on in the Old Covenant. He was a man who had no beginning and no end. Look Him up. Very cool event. Much like the meeting on the road to Emmaus.

Jesus taught us this:

“So everyone who hears these WORDS of MINE and acts upon them (puts them into action, stands on them regardless of the seen circumstances.) obeying them will then be like a prudent, practical, wise man who built his house upon the rock.”

“And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against the house and beat against the house,
(some of us are experiencing the winds and the floods)
yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”

This is a solemn promise from Jesus. When we push all in on Him and His Words and Promises, no matter what circumstances, wind, rain hail tornadoes, nuclear tipped missiles, regardless of what is in our bank account or facing us, OUR HOUSE WILL STAND! This is both a promise from Jesus, and a personal testimony from yours truly.

However when we run away from God in stressful even traumatic situations and stop believing Him and even accuse Him of being the source of our issues, we become like this fellow:

“And everyone who hears these Words of Mine and does not do them will be like a stupid foolish man who built His house upon the sand. And the rain fell and the floods came and the winds blew and beat against the house, and it fell and great and complete was the fall of it.”
(Matthew 7:24)

When we get into our flesh and try to fix problems and shoehorn our will without the guidance of the Holy Spirit,
When we say, “What Am I going to do?” When we choose to reject and blame God for our circumstances, we become the man who built his house on the sand.

Here is a promise from Jesus:

“Give, and it shall be given unto you; a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into your bosom, ( a pouch formed by the bosom of your robe and used as a bag or purse or a wallet of this day.) For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits to others] IT WILL be measured back to you.”
(Luke 10:38)

Here is a promise from God in the person of the Holy Spirit, given to Paul our appointed teacher:

“Do not be deceived, deluded and misled! God will not allow Himself to be sneered at scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.”

“He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude God.”

“For whatever a man sows, that and than only is what he will reap. For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due season we shall reap if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.”
(Galatians 6:7-9)

NEVER GIVE UP!

Here is another promise from God through Paul:

“Remember this: he who sows sparingly and grudgingly will also reap sparingly and grudgingly, and he who sows generously that blessings may come to some one will also reap generously and with blessings”.

“Let each one give as he has made up in his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion (giving out of compulsion is the definition of the word tithing. Never tithe!) For God loves, He takes pleasure in prizes above all things , and is unwilling to abandon or do without a cheerful joyous prompt to do it, giver whose heart is in his giving.”

“And God is able to make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient.”
(2 Corinthians 9:6)

These last 3 verses were not intended as a solicitation of giving but to teach the promises of God and to emphasize that Pastor Allen did not make them up. They are words directly out of the mouth of God! And God Can Not Lie!

So if you are a cheerful giver and you are not seeing multiplication and all grace happen in your life, and you come to believe that you will not, think again. Are you casting your eyes on the seen world whose circumstances are temporary and subject to change, or are you going to dig your heels in and believe the promises of Jesus?

We will have what we expect! That is a fact. If we believe we are doomed, we certainly are.

Joyful expectation in the face of apparent disaster produces Joyous results.

Whether your issue is mental, physical, relational, business or finances, remember this:

NEVER SAY THAT IT IS UNPROFITABLE TO SERVE GOD.What does that mean?

It means saying things like, that heathen next door is rich and I am broke, I give and worship Jesus but I get nowhere and that guy wallows in prosperity. I am thinking about a person that I have known for 45 years.

When we say things like that, we are doing what made God so mad at the Jews.

Read what God told Malachi about this:

“Your words have been strong against Me, says the Lord.”

“Yet you say, What have we spoken against You?”

“You have said, It is useless to serve God and what profit is it if we keep His ordinances and walk gloomily and as if in mourning apparel before the Lord of hosts?

“And we now consider the proud and arrogant to be favored evildoers are exalted and prosper; yes, and when they test God, they escape unpunished.”
(Malachi 3:13-15)

When we get tired and weary of fighting and sink into our flesh, we get blinded to the truth. We take the wheel from Jesus and drive the car into a tree, by making impulsive decisions out of a sense of impending doom.

When we stop believing the promises of Jesus we start making negative confessions about ourselves and we leave this moment. As surely as the sun rises and sets we will have what we say as long as we have no doubt in our hearts that what we say is true.

The answer is to Stand in faith nothing wavering, confess the promises of Jesus and mean it! Put on the whole armor of God. Praise and Worship God. Live in this moment and be happy regardless of the situation. JOYFULLY EXPECT Jesus’ great and precious promises and…..

NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER GIVE UP!
