Blessed is She Who…

This is a fun little fill in the blank test. In it is contained one of the three keys to the new covenant; the covenant that God has sworn to be true, with the most valuable thing He ever created…the blood of Jesus.

“Blessed is she who…BELIEVED…For there shall be a fulfillment of those things that were promised her of God.” Luke 1:45

Here is a news report worth study: From the 1st chapter of the book of Luke. Beginning with the 26th verse…. Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.

And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” But when she saw him, she considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called The Son of The Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the Throne of His Father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom, there will be no end.”

( Now get the picture here…There is a teenaged Jewish girl from the smallest town in the area. It is a farming community. Not an angel, The Angel of the Lord comes to her in the night. This girl has never seen television or a movie. She has never heard a radio. All of a sudden she is in the presence of Gabriel…The Angel of The Lord. The Glory of the Lord is on this being that is huge and glowing. You and I would have died on the spot. If the mere presence of the angel is not enough to send her scampering for Prozac, The Angel tells her that of all the women on the earth God Himself has chosen her to be the birth mother of His Son. And she never doubts for a second. That is amazing. And you thought that you had been challenged to believe huge promises. Follow Dr. Luke the consummate investigative reporter of all time, as he tells us exactly what happened; based on the hundreds of eyewitnesses that he personally interviewed.)

“Then Mary said to the angel, How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel of the Lord said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.” ( Mary is still not about to Doubt. Imagine what was going on in her mind, yet the things that were being told to her were being told to her by The Angel of the Lord. I know what you are thinking; It is easy to believe when The Angel of the Lord is speaking to you. Oh yeah? Go back and read in the beginning of the Doctors report, what happened to the Father of John the Baptist when The Angel of the Lord told him a similar prophecy. The Angel is still laying out the program for Mary, as we continue.)

“Now indeed, your cousin Elizabeth (the mother of John the Baptist, the hand picked prophet of God whose assignment was to “bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.”) has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. For with God all things are possible.”

( Now The Angel has told Mary that there would be two miracle births. Mary has still made a decision to believe God. Listen to her confession. We should all say this continually.)

Then Mary said to the Angel, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according your word.” Wow!

( We find ourselves challenged to believe the most basic teachings of Jesus. We have to struggle to believe that God will get us the money we need, or close the deal, or that we have been healed, some of us struggle to believe that God loves us.)

Here are a few teachings from, not the angel of the Lord, but from the Lord Himself:

“Verily, verily I say to you, he who believes on me, the things that I do shall he do; and greater than these shall he do because I go to my Father. And whatsoever things you ask of me I will do, that the Father will be glorified through the Son. And anything you ask I will do.” (John 14:12-14)

“Verily, verily I say to you if anyone shall say to this mountain be thy cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things which he says will be done, they shall be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatsoever things you desire when you pray believe that you receive and you shall have them.” (Mark 11:23 and 24)

“I saw Satan fall like lightning from Heaven. Behold, I give you dominion over snakes, scorpions and every power of the evil one.” (Luke 10:18 and 19)

“The thief comes but to kill, and to steal and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10)

Then they said to Him, “What works must we do that we may do the works of God?” And He answered them saying, “This is the work of God, that you believe on Him whom He hath sent!” (John 6: 28 and 29)

“Until now you have asked nothing in my name, but ask, that you may receive that your joy may be full.” ( John 16:24)

“I Am the Way and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6)

Just like Mary, we all have the freedom of choice. We all have the right, ability and power to decide whether or not we will believe. God can not change our free will and He can not make us believe. We have the power to become the sons and daughters of God, the power to believe. If we make the decision to believe God regardless of what we see, we have a promise guaranteed with the blood of Jesus; that there will be a fulfillment of those things that were promised us of God.

The key that I wrote of in the beginning of this teaching is the power to believe. Grace through faith and the power to make a decision to believe are the keys of the New Covenant. The new covenant is our covenant and it supersedes all previous covenants. It is guaranteed by the blood of Jesus and sealed in the Word of God.

I pray that as you have read this teaching, you received the Spirit of revelation, wisdom and knowledge, that you would know God better. And that the eyes of your heart being enlightened, you would know that you have been made God’s glorious inheritance. And that you would then understand that you have the same power working within you, that raised Jesus from the dead and seated Him at the right hand of the Majesty on High.

With love to you all, your brother in Jesus, Pastor Allen
