Be of Good Cheer!

Are you under attack? Do you have circumstances in your life that are fearful? Have you a bad report from a doctor? Do you have fear of financial insecurity? Do you have scary symptoms? Do you have real financial problems or huge challenges in your business or job? Do you have fear about the circumstances in the world that you have no control over? Are you afraid of what other people think of you? Have you been in a search for a job and you feel like you are at the end of the rope, that you will never get a good job? Do you feel like nobody loves or appreciates you? Do you feel lonely, even in a crowd? Does death scare you? Do you suffer from an addiction and feel like you can and will never break free? Are you grieving the loss of someone close to you? Do you think that your life will never get any better than it is right now? Do you need direction, purpose and security in your life?

Jesus taught us that in this world we would find tribulation, but to be of GOOD CHEER, because He has overcome all of our challenges. Jesus has solved every one of the situations described above. He has healed us. We need never be lonely because He said that He is with us always and He will never leave or forsake us. He has overcome the evil one and taken his power and given us dominion over him. He has given us all things necessary for life and Godliness. He has given us his power and told us that we will do the same things that He did and even greater things. He told us that He will give us anything we ask for. He gave us the power to speak things into existence. He has given us abundant life. He gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us to the solution of our problems including finding that job. All we need do to overcome all of our fear is to BELIEVE! When we believe Jesus we set the course of our lives. So our challenge is to live in this present moment with JOYFUL EXPECTATION!

SO… “Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight your paths.”(Proverbs 3:5&6)

“For though we live in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to the flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds (such as unbelief) , In as much as we refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the true knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Jesus. (in other words we fight our negative and doubtful thoughts and any thought that disagrees with Jesus’s Words and we command our minds to agree with Him) (2Corinthians 10:3-5)

Finally, “In conclusion, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might!!! Draw your strength from Him. Therefore put on God’s complete armor! Stand firm then , with the belt of TRUTH buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of RIGHTEOUSNESS (which you got from accepting Jesus not from your behavior, but behave righteously) in place. And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the GOSPEL OF PEACE. Above all, take up the shield of FAITH, which can withstand all of the fiery arrows of the evil one. Take up the helmet of SALVATION and the sword of the Spirit which are the WORDS OF JESUS. (remember that he SWORD is an offensive weapon). (Ephesians 6:10-17)

“Rejoice (re-joy-yourself, which is a choice, a decision) in the Lord always; again I say REJOICE! Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything by prayer and petition with THANKSGIVING, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace shall be yours, [that tranquil state of a soul assured of salvation through Jesus, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is that peace] which transcends all understanding shall guard your hearts and minds in Jesus” (Philippians 4:4-7)

Remember, God is love! He does not take things away from us. He does not test us. He does not allow bad things to happen. He does not cause bad things to happen to teach us. He does not take people away from us. He does not punish, or judge or condemn us. He does not bring disease on us. He does not ignore our prayers when we sin. If we are condemned it is our behavior and hearts that condemn us not God. Remember that God cherishes you and gave everything to buy you. He is dancing in heaven over you right now!
