YOU ARE BEARING MUCH FRUIT!
“I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. “
“If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown out like a[broken off] branch, and withers and dies; and they gather such branches and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.”
“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you [that is if we are vitally united and My message lives in your heart], ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified and honored by this when you bear much fruit and prove yourselves to be My true disciples.”
(John 15:1)
Meaning: that your production of much fruit is evidence that you live in Jesus and His Words live in you. So that you qualify to ask God for anything, and He will do it.

HOW WORKS TEACHING BEGAN
Satan goes to church every day. his message is to dilute and contradict the Truth of Jesus. One of the ways that the burnt up cankerworm does this is by leading teachers to falsely proclaim that one must be good to please God.
Jesus taught us without equivocation that all that is required of us to receive all things that pertain to life and Godliness, and our heart desires are to believe in Him.
They then said, What are we to do, that we may [habitually] be working the works of God? What are we to do to carry out what God requires? Jesus replied, This is the work (service) that God asks of you: that you believe in the One Whom He has sent.
(John 6:28-29)
PERIOD!!!!!
“Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative) of Jesus:
To those who HAVE (past present tense) received and possessed by God’s will a precious faith of the same kind as ours,(When we choose to believe Jesus, we immediately receive His faith through His righteousness) by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus.
Grace and peace [that unique sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
“For His divine power HAS (already) bestowed on us absolutely EVERYTHING necessary for a dynamic spiritual life and Godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.”
(2Peter1:1-3)
Since Jesus has already given us EVERYTHING, there is no reason to beg Him for things like forgiveness, healing, mercy, grace, hope, finances, romances, joy, etc. The moment we receive Jesus, we also receive EVERYTHING, not by our righteousness but by His.
“For the Law was given through Moses, but grace [the unearned, undeserved favor of God] and truth came through Jesus Christ.”
(John 1:17)
Works and performance ended when Jesus breather His last breath and proclaimed, “It Is Finished.”
Now we receive EVERYTHING, not by our performance or lack of performance, but by Jesus’ righteousness; through God’s willingness ability and power that has done for us those things that we can not or will not do for ourselves (Grace) through; living in this present moment, with joyful celebration of the great and precious promises of Jesus, regardless of what we see, touch, taste, smell or hear (Faith). We receive EVERYTHING by grace through faith.
(Ephesians 2:8-9 and Hebrews 11:1)
HOW THE ERA OF WORKS BEGAN
Errant, ignorant of the Word, misguided or willfully false teachers believe that for one to be blessed by God, they must be good. They actually say things like: “God will not bless a sinner.” Knowing that we were all sinners when Jesus died for us.
They teach that there are requirements for receiving blessings from God, including but certainly not limited to attending their churches. They actually say things like: “God will not bless a sinner.” Knowing that we were all sinners when Jesus died for us.
I honestly heard a preacher strongly imply that if you do not go to church every week that you are not a Christian, this very week.
With complete disregard of what Jesus taught the disciples, Peter still believed that it was unlawful for a Jew to come into contact with a gentile.
Most of the disciples thought that salvation came through Jesus, but one must also obey the Hebrew laws and traditions they went about teaching this false doctrine to many. They were known as Judaizers.
From Wikipedia:
“Judaizer’s are Christians who believe and teach that it is necessary to adopt Jewish customs and practices (the Law of Moses/ ten commandments and the 603 attached man-made ordinances) to be blessed or saved. It was used for the first time in Galatians 2:14 when Paul publicly and angrily rebuked Peter for compelling early converts to Judaize.”
Here is how all of this gotta business came into the theology of the church today:
It all started when the children of Israel rejected God for a King and laws. They demanded that God give them laws and appoint a king over them.
“But when they said, “Give us a king to judge us,” their demand was displeasing in the sight of Samuel; so he prayed to the LORD. And the LORD said to Samuel, “Listen to the voice of the people in all that they say to you, for it is not you that they have rejected, but they have rejected Me as their king.
(1 Samuel 8:7)
“Then they said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen, but do not let God speak to us or we will die.”
(Exodus 20:19)
They refused to listen to the voice of God, even though He had just done eleven mighty miracles to free them from the bondage unto slavery by the cruel and relentless Egyptians.
The children of Israel, like many today, made the abysmal decision to return to Egypt and be slaves to work and to trust in what they saw rather than live under God by grace through faith.
Meaning that today, many prefer to bet on their holiness through works than to blindly trust God and to live under His new program started when Jesus died on the cross, of Grace through Faith. Please meditate on Numbers 14:4.
These falsely believe that God operates like Santa Claus.
“He’s making a list and checking it twice, gonna find out whose naughty and nice.”
The truth is that God is Love, and He keeps no record of wrongs. When we believe in Jesus, God forgets and can not ever recall our sins: past, present, or future.(1Corinthians 13:5, Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:9-10, Psalm 103:3, Psalm103:12, Zephaniah 3:17)
Today this stubborn stance of performance-based relationship with God held by many “believers,” crushes God’s heart as it did then when He threatened to destroy every single one of the “stiff-necked Jews.”
The people that God chose to first reveal Himself to rejected Him. God chose to give them exactly what they wanted. Just as they rejected Jesus they have rejected His truth of the new Grace through Faith relationship with Him that He taught us.
Whenever grace is taught it is met with the same old tired arguments. Here is one of them: “Well Mr. Grace teacher, does that mean that we can do whatever we want and go to heaven.” No smart ass. No one who truly has given their lives to the rulership of Jesus lives in a state of perpetual sin.
God walked on the earth proclaiming a new program of love and grace through faith as the basis of our relationship with Him, and His own knew Him not, and they rejected Him. They chose darkness instead of light. It happens today and every day.
(John 1:9-11)
That is how the ten commandments came to be, along with their 603 attached ordinances. They never at anytime applied to anyone but the Jews, and it only lasted from the exodus to the entry of God into the earth in the person of Jesus.
(Ephesians 2:8-12 and the entire book of Galatians)
In the fullness of time, God, in the person of Jesus, in His boundless love, mercy and forgiveness, and grace, in the person of Jesus, fulfilled them for them and made the Jews free from the laws of sin and death.
At the very moment that Jesus expelled the last breath from His earth suit, the veil in the temple that separated the Jewish people from God was torn in half from top to bottom.
(Matthew 27:51)
A declaration from God that the Jews were now free from the bondage of works and trying to keep the commandments and ordinances.
Astonishingly the Jews did not receive their new blood-bought freedom. They rejected Jesus. Even those who accepted Jesus and His closest friends would not let go of their man-made traditions and the commandments. Including the disciples.
That is how satan has deceived the church and caused Jesus’ sheep to be bound up in the false belief that they must be without sin to receive the promises of Jesus or to be blessed by Him.
Jesus commanded His disciples to go and teach the Gospel to all the world. They refused. Why? They believed their laws and traditions more than they believed Jesus.
“But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and; you will be My witnesses to tell people about Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
(Acts 1:8)
Jesus came up and said to them, All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing (immersing them in the Word and knowledge of Him and teaching them the Gospel) them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you”
Pay Attention; I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
This teaching is known as the “Great Commission” they are Jesus’ last commandments to the disciples before He returned to His position of Lord of Lord’s and King of Kings.
(Matthew 28:18-20)
Peter was with Jesus when He spent two days in the gentile land of Samaria teaching the people about Himself and the GOOD NEWS WHICH SHALL BE OF GREAT JOY TO ALL OF THE PEOPLE. Read the fourth chapter of John to learn of this.
Does trying to please God by your performance sound like “GOOD NEWS, WHICH SHALL BE OF GREAT JOY TO ALL PEOPLE.”?
Without regard to what Jesus had taught the disciples, Peter still believed that it was unlawful for a Jew to come into contact with a gentile regardless of Jesus’ command, and presence and teaching in the gentile land of Samaria.
The disciples believed that salvation came through Jesus, but one must also obey the Hebrew laws and traditions to be saved and to be blessed.
Keep reading; you will be truly blessed.
CHECK THIS OUT
“Now at Caesarea, there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion of what was known as the Italian Regiment, a devout man and one who, along with all his household, feared God. (Cornelius was a gentile)
He made many charitable donations to the Jewish people and prayed to God always. About the ninth hour (3:00 p.m.) of the day, he clearly saw in a vision an angel of God who had come to him and said, “Cornelius!” Cornelius was frightened and stared intently at him and said, “What is it, lord (sir)?”
And the angel said to him, “Your prayers and gifts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God [an offering made in remembrance of His past blessings].
Now send men to Joppa and have them call for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter and invite him here; he is staying with Simon the tanner, whose house is by the sea.”
When the angel who was speaking to him had gone, Cornelius called two of his servants and a devout soldier from among his own personal attendants; and after explaining everything to them, he sent them to Joppa.
The next day, as they were on their way and were approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof of the house about the sixth hour (noon) to pray, but he became hungry and wanted something to eat.
While the meal was being prepared he fell into a trance, and he saw the sky opened up, and an object like a great sheet descending, lowered by its four corners to the earth, and it contained all kinds of four-footed animals and crawling creatures of the land and birds of the air.
A voice came to him, “Get up, Peter, kill and eat!” But Peter said, “Not at all, Lord, for I have never eaten anything that is common (unholy) and ceremonially unclean.”
Think about the arrogance of that statement. First, Peter is directly rebutting the Holy Spirit. Second, He is attempting to overrule the commands of the Holy Spirit based on his staunch belief in Jewish traditions, over the teachings of Jesus and the direct order from the Holy Spirit.
That is a crystal clear statement about how little the twelve believed Jesus and how adamant they were about keeping the traditions of men. This is where much of the church is today.
And the voice came to him a second time, “What God has cleansed and pronounced clean, no longer consider common (unholy).” This happened three times, and then immediately, the object was taken up into heaven.
Why do you suppose that this demonstration had to occur three times to get Peter to believe it?
Now Peter was still perplexed and completely at a loss as to what his vision could mean when the men who had been sent by Cornelius, having asked directions to Simon’s house, arrived at the gate.
And they called out to ask whether Simon, who was also called Peter, was staying there. While Peter was thoughtfully considering the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Now listen, three men are looking for you. Get up, go downstairs and go with them without hesitating or doubting, because I have sent them Myself.”
Peter went down to the men and said, “I am the one you are looking for. For what reason have you come?”
They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man well spoken of by all the Jewish people, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear what you have to say.” So Peter invited them in and gave them lodging [for the night].
The next day Peter got up and left with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa went with him. On the following day, he [and the others] entered Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them and had called together his relatives and close friends.
When Peter arrived, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet and worshiped him. But Peter raised him up, saying, “Stand up; I too am only a man.” As Peter talked with him, he entered [the house] and found a large group of people assembled.
He said to them, “You know that it is unlawful for a Jewish man to associate with or befriend a Gentile, or to visit him; and yet God has shown me that I am not to call anyone common or [ceremonially] unclean. Therefore when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. So I ask for what reason have you sent for me?”
This boast from Peter is similar to his oath to Jesus that he would never betray Him. “I came without objection.” Though it took the vision being repeated three times and the Holy Spirit shouting at him before Peter agreed to go.
Thanks for hanging in here. We are almost done.
Pay attention to this report. It is essential. Though the disciples heard Jesus command them to teach the entire world, they refused to do it. That is why God chose Saul of Tarsus (Paul) the worst sinner in the world, to teach the Gospel to the Gentiles.
It took a vision from the Holy Spirit with direct commands, and an angelic vision to get Peter to violate the obsolete Hebrew traditions and go to a Gentile place.
The first words out of Peter’s mouth was a declaration of Hebrew laws even though He knew that Jesus had abolished them by fulfilling them, every single jot and mark of them!
As you read before, those among the disciples, who taught faith in Jesus mixed with obedience to the obsolete (Because Jesus fulfilled them.) ten commandments and six hundred and three attached man-made ordinances were called Judaizers.
They have passed their incorrect dogma down through the ages to this very day. Today with all of the knowledge available to us of the full unedited Gospel of Jesus, many preachers, evangelists, pastors, prophets and teachers still spread this non-sense.
Eventually, many years later, after much teaching from Paul, John, and Peter finally let go of the Law. It took a fight with Paul to get them to agree to do it. I am not convinced that any of the other disciples other than Phillip, and Bartholomew went to other nations to teach the Gospel.
The point is that wherever works and laws are taught, people are blinded to the truth of the Gospel.
“But to this day, whenever Moses (The ten commandments) is read, a veil of blindness lies over their heart.”
(2 Corinthians 3:15)
At the instant Jesus expelled the last breath of His earth suit, the veil in the temple was torn in half, top to bottom; indicating that the laws of Moses had been fulfilled and were made obsolete unless one voluntarily submits himself to them, and in doing so, makes himself responsible for keeping all of them in thought and in deed.
Now that you understand this message, the next time a Preacher or anyone else tell you that you need to be good to be in right standing with God, walk away from them.
It is by that Grace through Faith that we have been put in right standing with God and found not guilty and gained eternal salvation; not of works or performance or goodness, so that no person can boast about their goodness.”
(Ephesians 2:8-12)
Now you know as my friend, brother and fellow teacher Ed Everett says: “There are No Gonnas (Going to’s) and no Gottas (Have to’s).
I pray that this teaching has blessed you and that you will pass it to others who will also be blessed.
