“So everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them will be like a wise man [a far-sighted, practical, and sensible man] who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods and torrents came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.”
(Matthew 7:24)

This teaching of Jesus applies to every area of life. Let’s look at one of them, Finances/Money.
Here is God’s plan regarding your money. God asks us to give cheerfully, and according to what we purpose in our hearts to give. Not grudgingly or out of necessity because He loves and will not do without a cheerful, prompt to do it, giver whose heart is in his or her giving, those who give grudgingly or under compulsion might as well burn their money. It is not acceptable to God.
Our entire relationship with God is voluntary. He does not want anyone to come to Him because of the perceived consequences of not coming to Him. He wants us to come to Him because we choose to believe Him without a doubt and because we learn through His Word how much He loves us and we, in turn, love Him.
Understand this; if you are a follower, believer, and servant of Jesus, your money is not yours. It is all given you from Jesus regardless of how you think that you created it. Our responsibility is to manage that money well. Some call it being a good steward or manager.
God has a purpose for the money He shares with us. It is to meet our needs and to teach the true Gospel to Jesus to as many people as we possibly can.
It is a fact that 10 percent of the members of churches give more than 80% of all of the offerings that come into that church. What about the other 90%? Some are just cheap and stingy. The evil one has sold most of them a massive lie that if they give, they will not have. Others still are ignorant of the multiplication process that the Holy Spirit has taught us. The financial principals of God are rarely taught.
Another likely truth is that because of the fear of what others will think, Leadership fears teaching about the blessings that come from being a consistent giver because they fear what their flock may think of them. They fear being called “PROSPERITY PREACHERS” above all.
The church has placed this insidious label on those who teach the uncompromised promises of Jesus, who was the first “PROSPERITY PREACHER.” Think about this: why would Jesus not want His people to be prosperous?
In more than thirty years of Pastoring people, I have seen many “believers” who never give back to the Lord. Some are prosperous. Some are a financial train wreck. Most have no confidence in their finances, and none are vested in the work of God. Those who do not give to the work of Jesus never see the lives that are touched by doing so. They never know the joy that comes from richly blessing God’s sheep.
Think about what happens when you invest His money in His work. You give what the Holy Spirit puts on your heart to give. Maybe it is ten percent or even twenty or maybe less.’ Let’s work with ten percent.
You give ten percent, you keep ninety, you get a tax deduction, and God multiplies your investment of His money infinitely, and He causes all grace to abound unto you in every situation while men pour into your finances; pressed down, shaken together and overflowing in your lap. What a deal!!!
Study this plan in detail in 2Corinthians9:6 and Luke 6:38.
Tything has nothing to do with Christians. The tithe was a demand that Jesus put on the Levitical Priests to collect the first fruits and deposit the best of them in storehouses to distribute to those in need. The tithe was mandatory. Cheerful Giving is a choice.
It is my great joy to Pastor and coach many business owners and executives. The Holy Spirit reveals to me ways to help them become more successful. Early on in my ministry to these wonderful people, The Holy Spirit told me the key to bring overachievement to any and all businesses.
Here is the formula for unbridled success, happiness, goal busting, prosperity no matter how large or small your business or job.
MAKE GOD, JESUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT YOUR CEO, COO, CFO, AND PRINCIPAL PARTNER.
This statement is true for self-employed businesses, farmers, builders, retired investors, realtors, doctors, lawyers, plumbers, and all types of companies and whatever your livelihood. Build your business or job on the sayings of the Lord Jesus and the winds and floods will come, but, they will recede, and your house (Your job or company) will remain standing and prospering.
HOW?
One way to make God your managing partner is to listen to the Holy Spirit before you make a decision. Think in terms of what the right thing is to do. Remember the old cliche wrist band, “What Would Jesus Do?” Shut down your flesh mind, and it’s carnal advice. Do not listen to the evil one!
The voice of butt boil is easy to discern it is that voice in your mind that is negative, condemning and judgemental.
In the tenth chapter of the book of John, Jesus declares to us that He is the GOOD SHEPHERD. Jesus stated that He leads His sheep, and they know His voice.”
Some people think I am nuts when I tell them that Jesus and I talk all day long. But it is true. I know the sound of His voice, and He leads me and calls me by my name.
Submitting to the leadership of the King of Kings always leads to success and happiness. When I try to make decisions on my own, they rarely produce success.
One day my partner, who led a very large company at the time, asked me how people hear the voice of God. That was probably the wisest question I have ever been asked.
Here is the answer: Some people hear the voice of God by listening to their Pastor. Some people hear God by reading His Words which are He. Some people hear God in an audible voice. Don’t laugh, I know for a fact that two people very close to me have heard that audible voice. The prophets heard it every day. Most people know the voice of Jesus as the voice in their mind that is not their own.
We hear four voices — the voices of others, our own, which is led either by our flesh, our Spirit, or the evil one. The voice of the evil one is always negative, judging, or condemning; it is hateful, fiercely competitive, unforgiving, mean, bitter, resentful, bigoted, and divisive. The voice of Jesus is always loving, caring, gentle, merciful, hopeful, pleasant, positive, patient, forgiving, and wise. Jesus is never judging or condemning.
We need always go to God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit first, before making any decision because our flesh or carnal minds are not led by the things of God. In fact, they are opposed to the thoughts of Jesus and God.
One way and probably the best way to make God your managing partner is to PUT SKIN IN THE GAME. Meaning invest in His work.
Today thanks to the brilliant leadership of our President Trump, the economy of the U.S. is on fire. It is an unstoppable rocket ship.
More people are employed in America than ever before. Unemployment levels are at record levels, especially among Blacks, Latinos, and Women.
Consumer confidence is at an all-time high.
More than six million jobs have been created since the President was elected and more than seven million people have been lifted off of the welfare rolls. These folks are now participating in the most excellent financial experiment in history.
The Dow has grown from 18,000 to 26,000 in two and one-half years. Consumer confidence is higher than ever. People are making more money than ever before. More people are employed than ever before. Giving has also increased. Our economy is the envy of every country in the world.
Retirement accounts and investments are in better shape than ever before.
Has your investment in the Word of Jesus increased with your prosperity?
Are you giving back to God proportionally to the increases he is passing to you? Don’t get under works about that question. We only ask that you consider it thoroughly.
To me, investing in the work of God is one of the most accurate measures of the depth of one’s belief.
Why would a person invest in an unseen God that they did not believe?

Interestingly in one of the most horribly misquoted directives from God to the Levitical priests who were stealing His tithes and offerings, God stated that if they stopped robbing the tithes from Him, He would throw open the flood gates of heaven and pour out a blessing on them so great that they would not be able to contain it. He charged them to “test me in this”
I believe that if God offered that deal to the those who were taking the bread out of the mouths of His children, how much more has He not thrown open the flood gates for those of us who love giving?
Reflexively most giving “believers” invest their offerings in their home church or local church or denomination. Nothing at all wrong with that!! We are not asking anyone to stop giving to their church!!!!! However, we are asking that you consider the following, using Spiritual discernment.
The “great commission” from Jesus to all who continue in His Word:
“Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted [that it was really He].
Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of ALL THE NATIONS! Help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words, immersing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion, even to the end of the age.”
(Matthew 28:18-20)
In the first chapter of Dr. Lukes account of the Acts of the apostles and the eighth verse Jesus again gave His disciples which are any who continue in His Words, their final and most crucial marching orders:
“But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”
Is your investment accomplishing these commandments of Jesus? “If you love me, you will keep My Commandments.”
