Dear Partners and Friends,
We are changing our format this year. We will teach some of the most impactful scriptures in the Bible every week. The messages will be concise. Holy Spirit will dictate, as always, the scriptures and meanings. So here is this week’s teaching:
Question: Why does God heal some and not others?
Answer: Jesus healed everybody at one time by dying from every disease known and unknown to man on the cross.
“Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows and pains of punishment, yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God.”
Jesus was unrecognizable as a human on the cross when all of our diseases and sins came upon Him. Therefore, the Jews assumed incorrectly that God was punishing Him.
Two critical words: “Has”- meaning past present tense. He has born our griefs.
“Griefs”– from the Hebrew word Choli- meaning: Maladies, Sicknesses, Illnesses, Diseases, Calamities (accidents)
“But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him we are healed and made whole.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)
Jesus voluntarily and of His free will, paid for all of our sins, past, present, and future, and died of all of our diseases because He loves you (fill in your name) that much!
“When evening came, they brought to Him many who were ]under the power of demons, and He drove out the spirits with a word and restored to health ALL who were sick.”
And thus He fulfilled what the prophet Isaiah spoke, He Himself took to carry away our weaknesses and infirmities and bore away our diseases”.
(Matthew 8:16-17)
Note: Matthew was an eyewitness to the event.
David wrote these prophetic words under the direction of the Holy Spirit:
“Praise the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, praise His holy name!! Praise the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is deep within me, praise His holy name, and forget not any of his many benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your disease!”
(Psalm 103:1-3)
Think about this, take it deep into your heart, Jesus loves you (fill in your name) so much personally that He suffered every disease known and unknown to man, on the cross, for you.
Meditate on these scriptures. Pay attention to the fact that there are no qualifiers like, “yes but God will not bless a sinner,” or yes, but you must confess, repent, and be baptized,” etc.
Ask yourself if you truly believe the scriptures. Do you need to add qualifiers that Holy Spirit did not, to accept them?
Correct prayer: “Jesus, I believe and thank you for healing me by your sacrifice on the cross!”
Incorrect prayer: “Jesus, please heal me!”
I can hear your questions in my Spirit. If this is true, why do Christians get sick? Why did you die from Covid, Pastor Allen?
