THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM – PART II
In our last teaching, we wrote about
the first key to the Kingdom of Heaven: Salvation.
In part 2 we are going to explain the 2nd Key to
the Kingdom: Faith.
“NOW (In this present moment) FAITH is the assurance
(The confirmation, the title deed) of the things we joyfully
celebrate, being the proof of things we do not see and the
convincing of their reality (perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to our senses.”
(Hebrews 11:1 Amplified)
An easy way to think about what Faith is:
Faith is living in this present moment, celebrating the
the reality of receiving the things that we can’t see, but that King Jesus guaranteed with His blood.
“Simon Peter, a servant and apostle (special messenger) of Jesus, to those (anyone who makes Jesus their King) who HAVE RECEIVED (obtained an equal privilege of) like precious faith with ourselves IN AND THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF OUR GOD AND SAVIOR JESUS.”
(2Peter1:1)
Contrary too many false teachings, faith cannot be obtained in any fashion except through our acceptance of Jesus. At that instant, we receive The Faith Of Jesus.
Faith does not come from hearing and hearing and hearing the word of God. Faith cannot be grown, expanded, enlarged, multiplied, increased or detracted from. No person has more faith than another. We all have been given THE FULL MEASURE of faith when we accepted Jesus.
“For by the grace (God’s willingness, ability, and power that has done for us those things that we cannot or will not do for ourselves. Calling grace unmerited favor is like calling a Lamborghini a cup holder.) given to me, I say to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think but to think soberly, as God has dealt with each one the measure of faith.”
(Romans 12:3 NKJV)
So here is the deal. We have been given the faith of Jesus. Our challenge is to use it, not to get it.
Finally:
“Without Faith, it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must believe that God exists and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him out.”
Meaning: Without using the free and full gift of the Faith of Jesus, it is impossible to please God. Because to accept Jesus you have to believe that He exists and is a rewarder
of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.
Remember, it is not about what we do, it’s about believing
and receiving what He did!!!
