LIFE AFTER DEATH
Surely, many of you have lost someone close to you or had someone you know suffer from and survive covid19. For those who believe and believe in Jesus, life after death is infinite joy and gladness beyond our ability to imagine. The glory of God the love of Jesus and the Holy Spirit all reside there. To be absent the body is to be present with the Lord.
This writing is about how I left my body for a fleeting moment and was present with the Lord.
While the events you are about to read were happening, I lost my dear friend, mentor, inspiration, teacher, and the strongest Word believer and teacher the world has ever known —the Beloved Pastor Dwight Keith who, at 85, was still roaring the Gospel to his famous men’s group, “The Wednesday Warriors.”
Dwight chose to go with Jesus rather than be artificially resuscitated. As He always said about a person who vacated their dusty earth suit to be with Jesus…” He would not come back.”
I will love you and thank you forever for your faith in me, my dear brother! It would be impossible to calculate the number of souls Dwight saved, but it is infinite. I cant wait to see Dwight among his heavenly rewards.
Jesus speaking to Peter:
“Simon, Simon (Peter), listen! Satan has demanded permission to sift all of you (the twelve) like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith in Me may not fail; and you, once you have turned back again to Me, strengthen and support your brothers.” And Peter said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and death!”
(Peter was using flesh faith when he made this promise. Flesh faith does not hold up very well against mortal fear.)
Jesus said, “I say to you, Peter, before the rooster crows today, you will [utterly] deny three times that you know Me.” (Mark 14:29-33)
Note: At that time, the disciples did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit or the faith of Jesus. Jesus had not yet completed His Work on the Cross, at which time He gave all who believe in Him His faith and the Holy Spirit.
(2Peter1:1, John 15:26)
They had to rely on their flesh faith. The kind of faith that believes that if you sit in a chair, you will not fall. It is a good thing that the disciples were not sifted as wheat.
Of course, God would never have granted the evil burnt-up cankerworm that power. He did just the opposite. By dying on the Cross, Jesus took all power from the evil one and gave it to those who believe in and believe Jesus.
And He said to them, “Pay attention! I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. (Because Jesus was the one who threw satan to earth at the speed of light.) Behold, I give you (those who believe and believe in Jesus) the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions (the evil one and all of those who serve him) and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
(Luke 10:18:19)
Do not, however, miss the meaning of the teaching.
The stench in God’s nostrils, paints a target on the back of Jesus’s disciples. “If you continue in My Words, you are indeed my disciples, and you will know the TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH will make you free!”
The “GOOD NEWS OF GREAT JOY” is that no weapon forged against us can prosper.
“No weapon that formed against you will succeed;
And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord.”
(Isaiah 54:17)
The weapon we use to defeat the evil one has never changed and never will. It is faith. Faith is living in this present moment with a joyous celebration of our receipt of the blood-bought and guaranteed promises of Jesus, regardless of what we see, touch, smell, hear, or taste.”
(Hebrews 11:1)
The evil one has no power left to do anything but lie and get us to act on his lies. Never underestimate the power of the lies of the stench. He can’t kill, steal or destroy anything without the help and free will of men.
Have you ever been stubbornly arrogant? Did you ever just know that what you believed was true no matter what, only to learn how wrong you were?
That was me! I was positive that it was impossible for me to get covid. I believed that Jesus died on the Cross from every disease known and unknown to man, and thus He destroyed Covid, and it was therefore impossible for me to catch it. The part about Jesus dying from covid on the Cross and destroying it is 100% fact.
(Isaiah 53:4 and 5, Matthew 8:16-17, 1Peter2:24, Psalm 103:1-3)
My error was in not understanding thoroughly one of my favorite scriptures:
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world, you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be of, GOOD CHEER, AND courageous: because, I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33)
You would think that a lifelong Bible student and thirty-year Pastor would get that “have” word down.
I didn’t, and I freely admit that I was wrong and apologize to anyone who was offended by any of my teachings to the contrary.
I am in the world, and I found tribulation. The issue was how I engaged that tribulation.
Even though Jesus conquered Covid on the Cross, it did not mean that I or anyone else was immune to it. That said, Jesus did destroy it, and I had the opportunity to receive that healing by faith, which literally saved my life.
Thank Jesus and praise Him that He gave me His faith, and I do not have to rely on mine!
What strengthened this monster of a virus was the collective ignorance and unbelief of the people. The same thing happened in Capernaum, where Jesus could there do no mighty works.
Fear of the unknown, big talking doctors, the news media, and a certain group that prospered wildly from fear-mongering fueled and spread the great pan-panic until it was everywhere. Most “believers” had no idea what Jesus did on the Cross to destroy it, and the few who knew the scriptures believed them. Fear is the evil one’s greatest tool.
“Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother’s name Mary, and aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? Aren’t all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?” And they took offense at him.
But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own town and his own home.”
And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.”
(Matthew 13:53-58)
There were people in Jesus’ Home town who believed in and believed Him, but the collective unbelief of the people overcame their belief.
So BOOM! There it was, the killer jumped me by complete surprise. I didn’t feel all that bad. I had a sniffle that I thought was a slight allergy to the groomer’s shampoo on my dog. That week I was asleep most of the time. I had no energy but, I also had no fever or cough or lack of taste or any of the symptoms that I heard went with Covid.
My daughter, who helped save my life, insisted that I take a Covid test which I believed would prove my point, that it was impossible for me to get the insipid virus.
“Mr. Fleming, you are not getting the Covid test. My nurse just took your blood oxygen level, and I just confirmed it. It is at 86. You are going straight to the emergency room at Northside Hospital. Do you want me to call an ambulance, or do you want your wife to drive you?”
Dr. P would tell me later that if I had waited another day, I would have died in my sleep. Thank you, Reasey, for being so persistent.
The good doctor had notified the emergency room that I was on the way. They jumped on me like my Grandson on a steak. It was a wild scene of people dressed like astronauts and sticking things in me. I was semi-conscious for the next day or two. Then I heard this conversation between a nurse and a doctor.
“We are losing him! We are going to have to vent Him!”
Those were the last words I heard. Then it happened. I was sinking. I knew it. It was like a person going down in a body of water for the third time. I wasn’t scared or in pain. I was at complete peace. I saw myself in the sea of Galilee.
Then, I heard the voice of my King. I talk to Him every day. I recognized it immediately. (If that seems implausible, study the tenth chapter of John.)
Sometimes Jesus calls me Son. Sometimes He calls me Allen. It depends on if I am talking to Him in the person of Jesus or Father God or the Holy Spirit. This time He called me Son. These are the Words I heard.
“Son, do you want to live on earth, or to come to Me and live with Me forever? or do you want to live as the person you have been without changing and be very unhappy? Or do you want to live and change and be the new creation you teach about and live an extraordinary life of blessing others and Me and live in my joy and gladness to the full?”
The first choice was very difficult. As most of you know, I only have one goal, to hear my Father say these Words:
“Well done my good and faithful servant enter into your reward!”
I thought about my family. Suddenly, I heard the voices of prayers from thousands of people and angels praying for me to live. My choice was made. I wanted to live and serve His children and teach as many as possible about His love and joy and gladness, and forgiveness and mercy and all that He did for us, as I can with the time I have left here.
I told my King that I wanted to live on earth and change (and the list of needed changes is long) and be the person He wants me to be and teach His flock His Truth, The Truth, for as long as He wants me to.
Then I saw His hand. I heard my Jesus say these Words to me: “THEN GRAB MY HAND AND DO NOT LET GO NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS. DO NOT BE LIKE PETER! CLING TO ME, AND YOU WILL LIVE!”
“When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified and said, It is a ghost! then Jesus spoke to them, saying, Take courage, it is I! Do not be afraid!”
Peter replied to Him, Lord, if it is really You, command me to come to You on the water. Jesus said, Come! So Peter got out of the boat, and walked on water, and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the effects of the wind, he was frightened and began to sink, and he cried out, Lord, save me! Immediately Jesus extended His hand and caught him, saying to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt? And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. Then those in the boat worshiped Him with awe-inspired reverence, saying, Truly You are the Son of God!
(Matthew 14:28-33)
I reached out and grabbed Jesus’s hand and had a death grip on it. Please pardon the pun. Things got very scary for a while but no matter how bad the pain or the procedure, I clung to that hand as hard as I could. I am not ever going to let go of Jesus’s hand again.
The next thing that I was conscious of was the voice of what sounded like a very agitated woman who was shining a flashlight in my eyes, then trying to get my eyes to follow her finger.
“Mr. Fleming, Mr. Fleming?? Where are you?” Me…Saint Joseph’s? “No, Mr. Fleming!!!! You are in the intensive care unit at Northside Hospital.I am Dr. So and So, head of the ICU. You are in critical condition with double covid pneumonia. We are trying to help you. We are treating you with Remdisivire and steroids.
You are on 100% oxygen, and we can not give you more. Your lungs are failing, and you can’t breathe on your own. We have to put you on a ventilator.”
“The Ventilator will breathe for you until your lungs can breathe on their own. Do we have your permission to put you on the ventilator?”
Head nod. “Good, Mr. Fleming. We are going to allow you to speak to your family before we begin the procedure.”
In the next teaching, I will write about what I have heard about this incident that I was not aware of.
Someone had a facetime phone or something. I heard Ben say: You’ve got this, Pops! Believe Jesus! Remember your teachings. My wife Teresa said that she loved me and that I would be fine then my daughter said a very powerful prayer. Then the nurse told me right before the procedure that my daughter asked her to pray for me, and she said a prayer. Then the lights went out for nearly a week.
I made it! After a week on a ventilator, a feeding tube, and another tube that I will not write about, which few survive, I was going to live. Just another week and a half in medium care and home to recover.
This writing is part one of a series of my testimony of how the Word of God, Jesus, the prayers of hundreds of people, some of which, I have never seen: faith, and a fantastic group of doctors, nurses, technicians, and other health workers that God created for this moment with many angels saved my life.
This attempted murder began on January 22nd. Less than eight weeks later, as many doctors and health care workers have attested, I am a living miracle. To be clear, the miracles
of what happened to me had nothing to do with me and everything to do with others beginning with Jesus. To Jesus and those of you who prayed, and the wonderful doctors, nurses and techs and the angels of God, I owe everything. To all of you, I am eternally grateful.
It’s exactly as though it was a blink of an eye, and it never happened. I am complete as I was before. Jesus destroyed the virus that tried to kill me.
I have very strong opinions about who the attempted murderers are, that can not be discussed in this venue. They will, however, be posted on my website soon.
Our next teaching will report many healing miracles that happened to save me. Tune in next week.
