So in the last two days I have met with two of the members of the board of Throne of Grace. One of them called me Debbie Downer. He told me that my Facebook rants and negative teachings have been bringing him down. The other one told me that he had fallen into the same trap that I did. He had let the cares of this world drag him into his flesh also.
So, Jesus and I have been in serious discussions about what has been going on. Here is the essence of our talks: The world especially America is going nuts. This has to happen. Nothing we can do about it. But by getting pissed and reacting in a negative way, I (and possibly some of you) are allowing our flesh and the evil one (who is a powerless burnt up canker worm whose only ability is to lie and cause us to come into agreement with him) to win! I (and possibly some of you) allowed them to steal one of the most important gifts that Jesus died to give us, our JOY!!!
Ok, that is a cancelled check. In the past, done! I apologize to my friend who called me Debbie Downer, I am glad he did, he was right. But not anymore!!!
Folks, I (and hopefully you) am going to lock in on the scriptures that I have taught for years:
“RE JOY CE IN JESUS ALWAYS [Gladden yourselves in Him] AGAIN I SAY, RE JOY CE!”
Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (Jesus told me that being angry about current events is a perfect example of selfishness) your considerateness, your forbearing spirit. The Lord is near He is coming soon.”
DO NOT FRET OR HAVE ANXIETY ABOUT ANYTHING!!! But in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving continue your wants be known to God.
AND GOD’S PEACE WHICH TRANSCENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING SHALL GARRISON YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS IN JESUS!”
For the rest brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence,and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things.”
(Philippians 4;4-9)
That is my prescription for the events around us. 1000 may fall at our left side and 10,000 at our right side but it shall not come near us. No weapon forged against us shall harm us. Nothing shall separate us from the love of Jesus. We are God’s glorious inheritance. If God be for us, who can be against us! Jesus hath given us all things that pertain to life and Godliness, He has defeated satan for us and given us dominion over satan and all of his powers. Jesus gave us the ability to do everything that He did and even greater things than He did.
Lets agree to redouble our efforts to project the love of Jesus on everyone we come in contact with. Lets try to double our ministry work to try and get as many people saved as we can. Lets give more. Lets smile more. Lets teach more. Lets spend more time listening to Jesus and follow His instructions. Lets make a decision, a choice to walk in Joy so that others see our Joy and want our Lord!
