ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
FINANCIAL SECURITY FROM THE KING OF KINGS
AND HOLY SPIRIT!
One of the issues that Pastors and mental health workers most frequently face is the fear of economic insecurity and its twin, the fear of losing economic security among financially secure people. Of course, many folks live with the reality of economic insecurity as a reality of daily life.
The causes of economic insecurity are many and varied. Some include mental illness, addiction and alcoholism, irresponsibility, lack of skills and education, underemployment, and a generational mindset of poverty.
From a Spiritual standpoint, poverty, lack, and want are caused by ignorance of Jesus’s promises, unbelief, and fear.
Our last few teachings have been a bit long, so the Author, Holy Spirit, gave us this one, probably our shortest ever, for those with short attention spans.
GOD’S INSTRUCTION ABOUT HOW TO GAIN AND MAINTAIN ECONOMIC SECURITY:
Jesus speaking: “The thief (the evil one) comes but to steal, kill, and destroy: I HAVE COME SO THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT IN ABUNDANCE.”
A PROMISE FROM JESUS:
“Give, and it shall be given to you, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap (your finances). Because, with the same measure you use (the intent of your heart when you give), It will be measured to you.”
(Luke 6:38)
ANOTHER PROMISE FROM JESUS:
“Truly, I (As in the great I Am) tell you they (The Rich Jews who joined the Roman society and the Rulers of the Jews.) have received their reward in full. BUT WHEN YOU GIVE TO THE NEEDY, DO NOT LET YOUR LEFT HAND KNOW WHAT YOUR RIGHT HAND IS DOING SO THAT YOUR GIVING MAY BE IN SECRET. THEN YOUR FATHER, WHO SEES IN SECRET WILL (not might)REWARD YOU!”
(Matthew 6:1-4)
A declaration from Holy Spirit through Paul, our anointed and appointed teacher:
“Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows generously that blessings may come to others WILL ALSO REAP GENEROUSLY AND BE BLESSED!
Let each one give thoughtfully and with purpose just as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves and will not do without a quick-to-do-it cheerful giver and delights in the one whose heart is in his gift.
And God is able to make ALL GRACE AND EVERY FAVOR AND EARTHLY BLESSING COME IN ABUNDANCE TO YOU IN EVERY SITUATION, So that you may always under all circumstances regardless of the need have complete sufficiency(everything you will ever need) in everything, and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.
As it is written and forever remains written,
‘HE, THE BENEVOLENT AND GENEROUS PERSON SCATTERED ABROAD, GAVE TO THE POOR; HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ENDURES FOREVER!’
NOW HE, who provides seed for the sower and bread for food, will give and MULTIPLY YOUR SEED FOR SOWING and increase the harvest of your righteousness, which shows itself in active goodness, kindness, and love.
YOU WILL BE ENRICHED IN EVERY WAY so that you may be generous, and this generosity administered through us is producing thanksgiving to God from those who benefit.”
(2Corinthians9:6-13)
A TEACHING FROM PETER, THE EYEWITNESS TO, AND DISCIPLE, AND APOSTLE OF JESUS:
Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle (special messenger, personally chosen representative, with a special messenger) of Jesus,
To those (everyone who believes and believes in Jesus) who HAVE (past-present tense meaning already) received and possess by God’s will a precious faith of the same kind as ours,(The Faith Of Jesus) by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus,
Grace (God’s willingness, ability, and power that have done for us those things which we can not or will not do for ourselves.)and peace( a state of complete undisturbedness) be multiplied to you in the true, intimate knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.
Because His divine power HAS(past-present tense meaning already) given us absolutely everything necessary for life and godliness through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.
For by these, He HAS bestowed on us His precious and magnificent promises of inexpressible value, so that by them you may escape from the immoral freedom in the world because of disreputable desire and become sharers of the divine nature.
MEANING:
There is no need to lust after things we already have, and there is no reason to fear economic insecurity when Jesus has already given it to us.
The late Dr. Buddy Crum coined a different view on God’s system: You give what is in your heart to give, receive a tax deduction, and keep the rest. Pretty cool, huh?
