FINDING JOY AND GLADNESS IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM
Dear friends and followers:
I just do not have the words to express my love for you. Your
kind messages and likes and loves have blessed and encouraged me beyond measure as they surely have my King Jesus. I wish I could hug you all and say thank you face to face. This message is the best that I can do. I wish I could respond to all of your beautiful words, but there are so many thousands of you that I can’t.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share these teaching with your friends. You are doing a massive job for Jesus. He challenged us to take the Word to all the world. You are doing that by sharing. Finally, thank you all for your overwhelming generosity in your offerings, which make our work possible.
JOY AND GLADNESS IN A RAGING STORM
“I have told you these things, so that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.”
(John 15:11)
And there you have it, friends! Here is a statement that I hear from time to time: “Pastor Allen, I am not sure what God’s will is for me!”
Jesus sacrificed everything He had to bring us into His will. You just read His will for us. His will is that His joy and delight will be in us and that our joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing in this life and eternally with Him in heaven.
Is His joy and delight in you? Is your joy and gladness of full measure and complete and overflowing? If the answer to that question is no, don’t blame Jesus. He did everything He could do to give them to you.
When God entered the earth as a baby human, He sent His messenger to tell us not to be afraid, for He was bringing to us, “Good News of Great Joy Which Will Be To All The People.” Then God declared peace on earth between all people and Himself. “And On Earth, Peace, Good Will To Men In Whom He Is Well Pleased!”
If what you hear is not Good News of Great Joy and does not agree that God has declared peace on earth,
reject it! It is not the Gospel of Jesus.
So why are so many”believers” sad and depressed today? Because they are either ignorant of the Great and Precious Promises of Jesus, or they choose or are led, not to believe them.
Thomas Paine, one of America’s founding fathers,
penned these words: “THESE ARE THE TIMES THAT TRY MEN’S SOULS.”
George Washington was so inspired by those words that he ordered his men use them as a battle cry when he crossed the Delaware River into Trenton New Jersey and won His most important victory of the revolutionary war.
Those words have never been more true. Our souls, our hearts and minds and spirits, are being tried by the evil one and a group of evil thinkers and doers. The response has not been well.
There is a broad conspiracy to destroy the country that God created as a base to spread the Gospel of Jesus.
The plan of the communist, socialist, progressive, counter-culture movement is to spread hate and division and promote lawlessness, anarchy, fear, and doubt. The followers of the dark side have murdered Police officers, and children without guilt.
They claim that lives matter yet, have slaughtered seventy million babies since Roe V. Wade. They want to legalize all forms of abortion, including late-term abortion and birth and infanticide after children are born.
Their purpose is to eliminate God from this country and reconstruct it as an atheistic utopia where wrong is right and right is wrong. If successful, the tactic will be to redistribute wealth by confiscating money at the point of a gun from those who have worked to earn it and give it to those who don’t work or produce. Their plan would create a public utterly dependent on the all-powerful central socialist-democrat/communist government.
The leaders of the cancel culture have a plan that they have employed to make Christians, especially white Christians, the enemy of the people. They have burned churches and beheaded statues of Jesus. They paint Christians as “racist” with no evidence in and attempt to make white and black brothers and sisters dislike the other. The “news media” promotes this belief. The medias part of the program is to shame the name of evangelical Christians.
They know that the easiest way to weaken “believers” is to get them frightened by the fear of what other people think of them, one of the evil one’s most successful tricks. Jesus warned us about this tactic: when He outlined the tools of the stench in God’s nostrils. He called it “the cares of this world.” How many people do you know who are following the mob and submitting to their will because of fear of what others will think of them?
How many God-given rights have people given up for fear of what others will think of them if they do not comply?
If they can make followers of Jesus ashamed to admit that they love Him and quote His promises and allow their churches to be closed, they will weaken the brand and slow down or eliminate the growth of faith in Him. Doing so will help grow the atheist; “science is god,” movement. The science is God; belief is ridiculous since God created science, but they will not allow Truth to enter the equation.
Anti-establishment hippies from the sixties and spoiled rotten millennials have begun to call their twisted logic, “The Cause.” Don’t underestimate the power of that term. The Revolutionaries that started America sold their starving troop’s belief in “The Cause” to convince them to keep fighting.
When was the last time you heard a report on the good things that Christians do? No accident. Who is shouting out loud that Jesus created us all and loves us all? When have you heard a news report about the work done by groups like Samaritans Purse, or the Salvation Army?
The “Silent Majority” can no longer remain silent. It is time to rise and stand for Jesus, America, and right. We can not sit idly by and watch chaos, anarchy, and anti-christian dogma, rule. We can not accept the division between races. We must all be color blind and love each other equally as the brothers and sisters we are in Jesus. There has never been a more crucial time in our history to fight against the powers of darkness through non-violent actions.
As the great Bible teacher Ron Reeser says, one way to draw folks to Jesus and bring peace is to “beam His love” to all we contact.
Think about the ruin that our children and grandchildren will inherit if we don’t stop this.
THE PROBLEMS: IGNORANCE OF THE WORDS OF JESUS, DOUBT, UNBELIEF, AND FEAR!
THE SOLUTIONS: TEACHING AND SPREADING BY EXAMPLE THE INFINITE LOVE OF JESUS, BELIEF, COURAGE, USE OF THE GIFT OF JESUS’S FAITH, KNOWLEDGE OF HIS GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES!
The Great Pan Panic Of 2020 has revealed mankind’s true nature. “Believers” are running and hiding under rocks. They are cowering behind masks and voluntarily closing churches. They believe the news media which are nothing more than a propaganda vehicle for the evil one and his servants. TOUCHDOWN EVIL ONE!
They believe Faucci the little socialist pip squeak under the influence of George Soros, more than they do Jesus or His promises and His Word. Please don’t be offended by reading what some call “politics”. We live in the world.

THE STORM
“And leaving the crowd, they took Him with them, just as He was, in the boat in which He was sitting. And other boats were with Him. And a furious storm of wind of hurricane proportions arose, and the waves kept beating into the boat so that it was already becoming filled.
But Jesus was in the stern, asleep on the leather cushion, and they awoke Him and said to Him, Master, do You not care that we are perishing?
And He arose and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Hush now! Be still!, And the wind ceased sank to rest as if exhausted by its beating, and there was immediately (God’s Time) a great calm, a perfect peacefulness. He said to them, Why are you so timid and fearful? How is it that you have no faith? And they were filled with great awe and feared exceedingly and said one to another, Who then is this, that even wind and the sea obey Him?”
Jesus “marveled”(was shocked and amazed) twice. Once at the faith of the centurion and once at the unbelief of the disciples. Here is how frustrated He became at unbelief: “And Jesus answered, O you unbelieving (warped, wayward, rebellious) and thoroughly perverse generation! How long am I to remain with you? How long am I to bear with you?”
(Matthew 17:17)
“But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like little children sitting in the marketplaces who call to their playmates,
We piped to you [playing wedding], and you did not dance; we wailed dirges [playing funeral], and you did not mourn and beat your breasts and weep aloud.”
(Matthew 11:17)
“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who continue to kill the prophets and to stone those who are sent to you! How often I have desired and yearned to gather your children together [around Me], as a hen [gathers] her young under her wings, but you would not!”
(Luke 13:34)
Jesus’s chicks are still unwilling to gather under His wings by refusing to believe Him. They are still refusing to dance when He plays His music.
What riled Jesus up was that the disciples tried to heal the epileptic boy using their power and not their faith in Jesus. Had they used faith in Jesus, the boy would have been healed.
They had not been given Jesus’ power as we have, and Jesus had not yet healed all diseases through dying from them on the cross, as He did.
Jesus was upset with the disciples for their unbelief.
How must He feel to see churches closed in fear now?
The disciples did what “Believers” are doing today. They jumped to a negative conclusion based on what they encountered with their five senses, the storm that they saw. They believed what they saw was more real than the Power, Words, Authority, and Love of Jesus. They ignored the fact that God, Who created the winds and the waves, was sleeping in the back of the boat.
Fear of the seen caused them to close the doors of their hearts and doubt Jesus, just as it is causing leaders to close the doors of churches: Fear= False Events Appearing Real. The disciples did not have the indwelling Holy Spirit as we do. They had an excuse. We do not!
We did not receive a Spirit of bondage to fear, but of strength, courage, and a sound mind. It is not we who live but Jesus who lives in us. He is in the back of our boat. Jesus swore an oath that He would never leave us or forsake us.
Unlike the fearful disciples, Jesus has given us His power and authority. He has given us the ability to speak to the virus and command it to dry up by the root and disappear.
Jesus gave us the power and authority to do the same things He did and even greater things than He did, including raising the dead, healing all nature of diseases, molecular transformation (as in multiplying food and causing a boat to go from the middle of a lake to the other side, “immediately!”) and all of the other miracles that He did.
Jesus gave us dominion and authority over the evil one and all of his powers and servants and declared that “Nothing Shall In Any Way Harm You!”
(Luke 10:18)
The great evangelist Kenneth Hagin was on his deathbed at the age of fifteen. He was paralyzed and bedridden with a horrible blood infection caused by heart disease. He said that he died three times in ten minutes. Then he remembered a scripture he had read. That scripture saved his life. He spoke to the disease and commanded it to die. It did and, against all odds, he lived. He taught this declaration of Jesus almost exclusively until his death at 86 years.
“And Jesus, replying, said to them, Have faith in God!.
Truly I tell you, WHOEVER says to this mountain (Whatever mountain there is in our lives), Be lifted and thrown into the sea! And does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason, I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will have it!”
(Mark 11:22-24)
Jesus went about doing good and healing ALL of the people. Not some of them and He never qualified a healing based on any person’s behavior or whether they “deserved” it.
“How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with strength, ability, and power; how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing ALL who were sick and harassed and oppressed by the power of the devil, for God was with Him. And we are eye and ear witnesses of everything that He did both in the land of the Jews and Jerusalem. And yet they put Him out of the way (murdered Him) by hanging Him on a tree.”
(Acts 10:38-39)
If you steadfastly believe Jesus, you have the same power that He had. I didn’t say it! Jesus did!
“I (God in the person of Jesus, The Great I Am) assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if ANYONE steadfastly believes in Me, he WILL himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these because I go to the Father.”
When Jesus returned to His throne and became God the King of Kings and Lord of Lords again, He did not want us to be left powerless in this flesh world. So, He left us His power. All we need to do to receive it is to Believe it!
“And I will do, I Myself will grant WHATEVER you ask in My Name, so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.”
Jesus taught those who had not yet received His great and precious promises this scripture because He had not yet died and given them His great and precious promises and guaranteed them with His blood.
Unlike them, we do not need to ask Jesus for anything because, as He said, He would, in this scripture, has given us ALL THINGS that pertain to life and Godliness, including His faith. He did that by bleeding and dying on the cross to guarantee that every Word He spoke was true.
The message of Jesus’s teaching is that there is nothing that He has not already done for us. Go back and reread that scripture. The reason Jesus has given us everything is so that God will be glorified!
“YES, I will grant WHATEVER you ask in my name!”
(John 14:12-14)
God has given us everything we ask of Him already. We need not ask Him for anything He has given us, especially things like healing, forgiveness, faith, prosperity, finances, favor, power over evil, courage, or strength. (2Peter1:1-4)
It is especially wrong to ask God or Jesus for forgiveness. Jesus died the most brutal death ever experienced, to pay the price for our forgiveness, once for all. He has forgiven and paid the price for every sin we will ever commit, past, present, or future with His blood. He has chosen to forget and never be able to remember our sins if we only believe and believe in Jesus.
(Hebrews 8:12, Hebrews 10:10, Psalm 103:1-3, Zephaniah 3:17)
Jesus died from every disease known and unknown to man, on the cross. He destroyed them: “Surely (not maybe) He has borne (carried away) our griefs (from the Hebrew word Choli) meaning: diseases, sicknesses, maladies, infirmities, illnesses, and sorrows.
(Isaiah 53:4)
He took them away. Jesus died from ALL of our diseases, sicknesses, illnesses, maladies, accidents, calamities, sorrows, and mental disorders. Including this insipid Coronavirus.
God declared it! (Exodus 15:26) Isaiah prophesied it! (Isaiah 53:4-5). David prophesied it! (Psalm 103:1-3, 105:37, 107:20) : Note, when David says that God sent His Word, he is referring to Jesus, Who is His Word. (John1:1) Jesus did it! (Matthew 9:35, Mark 3:10, Matthew 12:15) Matthew confirmed it! (Matthew 8:16-17) Peter confirmed it! (1Peter2:24)
Who has more credibility, physicians, and medicos or the creator of the human body?
Here is a great mystery to me. How is it possible to believe some things that Jesus said and not all of them? How can one believe John 3:16 and not John 14:12-14 or Mark 11:22-24?
That question has puzzled me since the first time I tried to teach a self-righteous pew sitter the Truth and got the response when I quoted the scriptures, that they were only my interpretation. I recently quoted these scriptures and had a man claim that I was teaching blasphemy. Sheesh. Why are some “believers” so resistant to the Truth?
This may be the answer: I read a meditation once that said: “It is impossible for the light (Jesus and His Word, are the light! John 1:3) to penetrate the armor of self-righteousness”. In more than thirty years of Pastoring folk, I have found these words to be very accurate. People just want to cling to what they have heard from the pulpit whether or not what they have learned is true.
The disciples cowering in the boat asked Jesus if He cared? People are still asking the God of Love that same question for the same reason. They are more focused on what they see and the circumstances they face than on the Truth of The Gospel of Jesus.
The disciples had just hours before witnessed Jesus feed five thousand men, not including women and children, which would probably add up to at least fifteen thousand people with two loaves of barley and five fish when they panicked.
The fear of the unknown scared them so badly that they completely forgot who Jesus was and what they had seen Him do. Sound familiar? We have His Gospels; they did not.
Our challenge is to go about teaching the Truth that Jesus healed covid. Our job is to fight against the closing of churches. Maybe it is a good thing, though, that those who believe Faucci his propagandists in the media and masks more than Jesus close their doors, at least they are not spreading unbelief. Our job is to spread courage, faith and love to those we love.
God has given us free will to choose:
“I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.”
(Deuteronomy 30:19)
As the late great theologian Loyd Skidmore paraphrased the Gospel of Jesus: “Believe and Receive, Doubt and Do Without!” That is exactly how we choose life; we choose to believe Jesus and His Words and Promises.
Jesus is at rest. Let us join Him in that rest. Let us receive all things that pertain to life and Godliness, through using His gift of His faith. Let us live in this present moment celebrating the receipt of the great and precious promises of Jesus, regardless of what we see, hear, touch, taste, or smell. (faith) Without using His faith, it is impossible to please God for those who come to Him must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him.
Let us diligently seek Him, especially now. Jesus promised us that if we seek God and His righteousness (Jesus and His Words) first, above all other things, all of the things that we are anxious and worry about will be added unto us. Meaning that by believing that they have already been given them, we will receive them.
Jesus gave us everything we will ever need or want through His willingness, ability, and power that have done for us those things which we can not, or will not, do for ourselves. (grace) As in being saved.
Let us be calm and full of joy and gladness in the midst of this storm. Let us show Jesus our belief in Him and His promises by standing firm and speaking to the storm ourselves. Let us use the gifts and powers that Jesus shed His blood to guarantee us and by doing so, demonstrate to others how to have Joy in the midst of
the storm.
