Shopping at Jesus’ Store… Continued
We are continuing a teaching about shopping at Jesus’ store. The series began with an explanation of the frequency with which we buy products from the evil one.
We learned how to avoid buying the devil’s lies and rotten fruit and instead, shop and buy good fruit and good things from Jesus’ store.
The Key to the front door of Jesus’ store is to surrender. The key is to accept the free, sacrificial, gift of eternal salvation and life with God. The price of this product is Jesus’ death burial and resurrection.
When we make a decision to accept Jesus as our King. When we confess with our mouth that Jesus is our Lord and we believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, the doors of heaven and all of Jesus’ great and precious promises are blown open and given us freely.
We can not possibly earn anything from God by our performance. When we accept the fact that Jesus bought us all things necessary for life and Godliness, and we receive by Faith what Jesus has given us by grace these are some of the things we buy from Jesus’ store:
HIS LOVE. GOD LOVES YOU so much that He suffered all of the indignities of becoming a human being, walking the earth, being tempted at all points as we are; yet without committing a single sin or violation of the Hebrew law or commandments, and suffering the most horrifying and painful death any person ever could or would, just to buy YOU for Himself so that you could be His forever and ever.
ETERNAL SALVATION AND FORGIVENESS OF ALL SINS, PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE. and life in heaven with God in all of His persons and in all of His glory and majesty. David speaking in the office of prophet, wrote that “As far as the east is from the west, He removes our sins form us.” Here is a statement dictated to the prophet Zephaniah by God Himself:
“The Lord your God is in your midst,
A Warrior who saves.
He will rejoice over you with joy;
He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins],
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”
(Zephaniah 3:17)
This is a direct message to those who receive Jesus.
2 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;
3 Who forgives ALL your sins,
Who heals ALL your diseases;
4 Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you [lavishly] with loving-kindness and tender mercy;
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve],
Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His loving kindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
12 As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
(Psalm 103:1-12)
Paul under the direction of the Holy Spirit wrote this about how our sins are permanently forgiven when we accept Jesus and make Him our King.
“And in accordance with this will [of God] we [who believe in the message of salvation] have been sanctified [that is, set apart as holy for God and His purposes] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed) once for all.”
(Hebrews 10:10)
THE HOLY SPIRIT. At the moment we accept Jesus by believing in Him, we receive the indwelling Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God and Jesus and the Word, in Spirit form.
The Holy Spirit is our guide through life. He is our Paraclete, the friend like a brother who loves at all times. The Holy Spirit is assigned to guide us into all truth and show us the things that are to come. He does this 24/7, but we can not benefit from this wonderful joyous gift if we do not engage with Him by believing Him and listening to Him.
HIS POWERS AND ANYTHING WE DESIRE. That is right! Jesus told us that WHOSEVER steadfastly believes in Him, will do the same things that He has done and even greater than these because He returned to His throne. He has promised us that “WHATSOEVER” things we ask He will personally do for us in the power of the GREAT I AM;
so that the Father will be glorified in Him. And anything we ask He will do. (John 14:12-14)
THE POWER TO SPEAK THINGS INTO EXISTENCE. Jesus told us that WHOSOEVER, shall speak to this mountain (Whatever the mountain in your life is: lack, sickness, fear, pain, sadness, circumstances beyond your control) and command it to jump into the sea AND DOES NOT DOUBT IN HIS HEART BUT BELIEVES THAT WHATSOEVER HE SAYS SHALL COME TO PASS, HE WILL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAYS. (Mark 4:22-24)
HEALING. Jesus died from every disease known and unknown to man, as he suffered from them for 6 hours on the cross. Imagine our beloved and precious King dying from aids, cancer, Alzheimers, muscular dystrophy, sickle cell anemia, pneumonia, starvation, blunt force trauma, cirrhosis of the liver, et al. He voluntarily accepted this excruciating pain in order to free us from sickness, maladies, diseases, illness of all kinds, mental diseases and anything that makes us sorry. (Matthew 8::17, 1Peter2:24, Isaiah 53:4)
We get to choose to believe Jesus and walk in divine supernatural good health all the days of our lives, or not.
POWER OVER THE EVIL ONE. And all of his powers (the only power he has is to lie) his minion’s demons and everything that he is. The result is that nothing may in any wise harm us. (Luke 10:18)
HIS FAITH. That is correct! It is impossible to get more faith!!! You cant grow, multiply, lose, expand, stretch, add to or get more faith! The instant we accept Jesus and truly make Him our King, we are given His faith and all of His great and precious promises. (2Peter1:1-4)
Faith is the substance formed by living in this present moment with celebration and joy of the receipt of the things that are unseen, but that Jesus has given us.
GRACE. Grace is God’s willingness, ability and power that has done for us those things that we can not or will not do for ourselves, such as get saved or blessed. Saying that grace is unmerited or unearned favor is like calling a Lamborghini a cup holder. Neither faith nor grace may be earned. They are free gifts from God, NOT OF WORKS, lest any person should boast of their goodness or holiness. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
PROSPERITY: Jesus was the first prosperity preacher!
“There is one who comes to kill, steal and destroy! I have come that they may have life and have it in abundance!”
(John 10:10)
“If you live in Me and My Word lives in you; ask what you wish and it shall be done for you by my Father!”
(John 15:7)
PEACE! When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we receive at that moment His Peace. We are given the power and ability to walk in a state of complete un-disturbed-ness. The key to peace is a decision to believe Jesus and His promises beyond the shadow of a doubt. (JOHN14:27)
NEWNESS OF LIFE. When we choose to let go of our old unregenerate self, become willing to change and make Jesus the Ruler of our lives, we change. It is then not we who are alive, but Jesus who lives within us. (2Corinthians 5:17)
Here are the behaviors that evidence our new and wonderful purchases and our use of them:
“ But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Jesus have crucified the ]sinful nature together with its passions and appetites.”
“If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage—our conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. We must not become conceited, challenging or provoking one another, envying one another.” (Galatians 5:22-24)
ALL THINGS that pertain to life and Godliness! Jesus PURCHASED FOR US, ALL things that pertain to life and Godliness with His blood on the cross. This means that Jesus Ain’t Gonna Do Nothin! Why? He already did everything and proclaimed that His Work Is Finished. (2Peter1;1-4)
These things are free to us all. When we take them to the register, we just say in truth, Jesus is my King. The clerk then replies “No Charge!”
So you ask yourself, why is Jesus’ store so void of customers? So does Jesus!
