Happy New Moment!

Happy New Moment!

Every year I watch in bemusement, millions upon
millions celebrating the movement from one moment
to the next.

They spend a fortune on fireworks, alcohol and drugs to cerebrate a false event.

On New Years eve, nearly 1 million folk gathered in the
streets of New York where the temperature was in the teens, and waited in the frigid air for up to 12 hours to watch “The Ball Drop”.

It happened this way all around the world.

Reflect on the concept. Nothing has changed at all.
There is no difference between 11:59 “New Years Eve.”

In fact there is no such thing as a year. There is only this moment. In God’s world and in ours, there is actually no such thing as time.

Time is a man made creation based on the false assumption that a second is a second. Wrong.

In God’s world as in ours, all that exists is this present moment.

One of the reasons that New Years Resolutions fail, is that they are merely promised made in a time zone that does not exist. “My New Years Resolution is to drop 30 LBS.”

Rather, the resolution should be: “I am not going to eat
that box of Ice Cream one moment at a time.” Now that my friends, is an attainable goal.

In 30 years of ministry, It has been my observation that
what most people want more than anything, is, Peace.

Some Pastoral advice: If you want to know real joy and happiness in your life. Live in this present moment! If you for business reasons or other valid reasons must travel to the past or the future in your lives, do not under any circumstances pay ANY ATTENTION to negatives.

Of course there are necessary legitimate reasons to visit the past and future dimensions for educational or planning purposes. But never predicate plans and visions for the future based on past performance unless those performances are positive.

To the best of your ability avoid the past and the future like a plague. Instead of writing a 50 item to do list, write a realistic achievable list of 1 thing you can do in this moment. Build your house one brick at a time on the foundation of the sayings of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Here are some examples of FAQ’S Pastors are asked:

How can I overcome this deadly disease?
How can I endure life with my spouse?
How do I forgive a person who has hurt me?
How can I achieve my Godly vision of receiving Jesu’s glorious promises?
How can I get out of this negative money pit that I dug for myself?
How can I make myself trust God, when in
truth, the media, the entertainment industry, the cool people, the intellectual elites, the teachers of science have convinced me that the Bible is largely a fairy tale written by men to appease the jangled nerves of the folk?
How is it possible for me to believe that God loved me (fill in your name) so much that He gave all that He possessed to ransom me from the consequences of my sins, once and for all?
How can I believe that I have the same and even greater power than Jesus?
How can I believe that Jesus healed every disease ever known and even unknown by dying from them on the cross?

How can I believe that the burnt up canker worm has no power in my life and that in fact, Jesus gave me dominion over satan and all of his minions and demons and angels and that nothing shall ever harm me?

THE ANSWER:

ONE SECOND AT A TIME?

We have all heard the old cliche, “You can eat an elephant one bite at a time.” That war weary cliche is true. It is when we attempt to eat the elephant whole that we enter the world of the impossible.

A Challenge:

Try to enter the past or the future with your senses: sight, touch, smell, hearing, taste. It is not possible because neither exist.

All about time…

Most, incorrectly believe that Albert Einstein was the smartest man who ever lived. They are wrong on several counts.

King Solomon was the wisest man in the world until Jesus. He was given God’s wisdom because he asked for wisdom, not wealth.

Einstein spent his life in an attempt to define, understand and explain time. He failed. His summary of his conclusions is that mass equals energy times the speed of light squared. His conclusion is an assumption based on the presumption that a second is a second.
A second or any measurement of time is a flawed invention of men. Why, because there is no such thing as time.

Remember, old Albert, spent his entire life conjuring up his “theory”.

Solomon who was actually the smarter of the two by far, was given the definition of what man calls time, by the Holy Spirit.

Here is the essence of what he wrote in one simple paragraph that took him less than a minute to grasp:

The past and the future are the same as the present and God requires we leave the past to Him. Read God’s comments on time:

“That which is has already been.” (The past is the present)

“And what is to be, has already been.” (The future is the past)

“And God requires the past.”
(Ecclesiastes 3:15)
This teaching is so simple that it has to be from our King.

The essence of Solomons learning from the Holy Spirit are located in the books of Ecclesiastes and Proverbs. There are wonderful teachings and excellent guidance on how to live a happy, prosperous, healthy and joyous life contained in these enlightened observation’s. Understand when you study them that they are not laws or requirements, merely suggestions that are based on common sense and Spiritual discourse.

Summary. By any Spiritual or even intellectual evaluation, thinking beyond this moment is not only a waste of time, but causes us to walk right past the blessings that God
paid all that He owned to get us. Those things can only
be received in this moment.

Try living in this moment. I triple dog dare you.
